Karaoke machine oreginally invented by pilipino during early 80s by DEL ROSARIO sorry i was forgot his name and patented by his name it was only improve by the japanese electronichs company but the patent registration still in pilipino inventor.

Karaoke was invented by a Japanese, that’s why it has a Japanese name. “Kara” (empty, like kara-te which means empty hand), and “okesutora” (orchestra). So you have the word “Karaoke” which literally means empty or no orchestra. Later a Filipino developed it into the sing-along system that we are now familiar with and holds the patent for this system. So in short, karaoke was invented by a Japanese and developed (and patented) by a Filipino. I’m a proud Filipino but I want to set the record straight.

The first karaoke machine was invented by Japanese musician Daisuke Inoue in Kobe, Japan in 1971 but Inoue denied to be an inventor as he just made something like an innovation because he was lazy to play instruments for his gigs. So although, chronologically he was the first to create such innovation, it was Roberto del Rosario who first built an actual karaoke machine (he called it the sing-along system) and patented it. This is why a Filipino was the first official person to invent the karaoke. Also, a Japanese entertaining group created the phrase after an orchestra went on strike and a machine was used instead to play the music. “Karaoke” translates to “empty orchestra”.

Hi! Just wanna clarify that there are numerous other languages in the Philippines. 😊 For example, the Tagalog and the Bisaya speak two different languages, both of which has its own spoken and written structure, vocabulary, rules, etc. It would be very difficult to understand the other language unless one studied and intentionally learned and remembered words (just how you would foreign languages). That said, a language may consist multiple dialects used by different regions. There are variations, but basically, a Bisaya speaker from Visayas would understand another Bisaya speaker from Mindanao.

Fluorescent lamp, said to be invented by a certain Agapito Flores. The name of the invention is supposedly came from the surname of the purported inventor; "Flores" sounding similar to the term fluorescent. 2. Yoyo, alleged to have been invented by Filipinos. Some believe that the toy could have been used as a weapon. Nestor Castro of the Department of Anthropology of UP Diliman said that the yoyo was indeed invented as a toy but said that he was uncertain where did the idea of the yoyo as a weapon originated. ArmaLite M16 rifle was allegedly designed by a Filipino gunsmith Armando Lite (pronounced as Lee-teh). 4. Lunar Roving Vehicle used by the Apollo missions 15, 16, 17 was allegedly designed by a certain Filipino NASA engineer by the name of Eduardo San Juan. This has long been proven a hoax, as NASA has declassified its Apollo Mission papers. 5. Yes, the karaoke was PATENTED by Roberto del Rosario, but it was indeed INVENTED by Daisuke Inoue.
