Every time I watch your videos I find your delivery enjoyable to listen to and insightful. This information is really needed. Besides yourself and a relatively small group of others, its not easy to find anyone who can be real. You provide the raw truth of it all and that makes your videos priceless. A great many online teachers are not brave enough to convey this content as expressive and real as you are willing.

Hi. Sorry for the delay in replies. You can easily find most of the ingredients at the Asian grocery stores. But I will advise you to visit Health food stores to get the best quality products. Otherwise, online shopping is the easiest way. You can find the recipes in my online blogs cookingwithyoshiko.com/blog/ or you can also purchase one of books. You can also refer to my other videos. If you need more advise, let me know :)

Thank you for this video !! :) I am very passionate about japanese food and asian food in general, since I am half asian and lived in asia for a long time. Now I am back in France and I like to take the best of every culture ! :) The only sad part is that konjaku noodles are suuuuper expensive here in France. But I would love to include them more in my diet :) !
@soyyoshiko
@soyyoshiko 10 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your lovely comment from France! You must be surrounded by many beautiful food there! Yes, Konjaku is very cheap in Japan, but here in Australia is not cheap either :( but I guess France would be more expensive... Hopefully more and more people eat konnyakku in France and drop the price soon.. You know, more people eat, less price it gets! ( price of quinoa is going up sky-high because of the high demand but konnyaku is not ready for that high demand yet! )

So cool i already discovered Shiritaki noodles before I found you, I love them. I had a hard time finding Seaweed salad but found some at Costco. I need to find an Asian food market to get more variety. I have started Hara Hachi Bu and in the past few days I can feel the difference and love the feeling of having control of pushing away from the table so new habits are forming. Miso soup and salads and shiritaki help! oh and the fact I can have Siracha though :) i love that stuff!

the zero noodles here in the U.S. contain the chemical calcium hydroxide which i cannot eat and i must stay away from any type of any hydroxide period. this konnyaku. ..is this available at an Asian Market?? is it sold in block or slabs? ? im going to order yur book. i lived in Japan for some years and i was not only healthier, but i remember this item in the market. i have lost lot of weight from 190 lbs to 130. my ideal weight is between 115-120..that has always been my weight. im hoping that in yur book contains info on where to purchase these ingredients. i just ordered miso in bulk...really love that. reminds me so much of Japan.

In Italy, they call it Zen pasta for example

I am pretty sure they look younger is because of all the anti oxidants in their foods and phytochemicals. They barely use oils or grease fats lards etc. The slim part is because they eat low calorie foods and don't eat super huge portions but tiny variety of everything.

Yes soy products like quality miso such as fermented soy beans are high in antioxidants so makes you look younger. But most Asian people look younger because of Japanese superfoods such as matcha green tea, various types of seaweeds etc.

The real secret to longevity is starchy staples, vegetables, some fruit, and avoiding animal products, fish, oil. Basically low protein, low fat, high carbohydrate. Overall Japanese health is modestly better but Okinawan centenarians show many clues and their historical diet was 2/3 sweet potatoes..

Sorry for making you annoyed with my talk. I am not used to talk in front of the camera as well as English is not my first language so speaking English in front of camera is very difficult task. Hopefully I can improve my talk soon. Thank you very much for your feedback.
