So here at work, I watch your food videos. My buddy is sitting next to me watching political videos. Who do you think is happier? Eric and Allison get me through an eight hour shift. I enjoyed Japan while I was there. I spent most of my time on Okinawa. But I made it to Fuji, Tokyo (Roppongi), and Hiroshima. I loved Yakisoba and I don't remember the name of the dish, but it was like a vegetable omelette with teriyaki. It was a popular dish during World War II because the Japanese kept small gardens....That's all I really remember.

Coming over from TJ's channel!! I'd say that red bean and matcha is an acquired taste - especially for westerners or people who aren't familiar with Asian sweets. I'd say our desserts are a LOT different than what we have in the states - so I could totally see your point with it! Hey, at least you tried! Loved this video - can't wait to see more!

My first time I had Matcha was at Starbuck. I recommend you try the Green Tea Frappucino. Because it's made with Matcha but not strong. Since then I've become addicted to Matcha flavor. But I doubt I would like Matcha potatoes chip.

Zaku Zaku and the croissant taiyaki are some of my favorites. Up the street from the taiyaki place on the right is a place that serves really good laksa. And across the street from that is Pablo, gotta try the rare cheese cake from there. Ramen - Tsuta is a must, definitely worth the Michelin star. Didn't get a chance to go to Nakiryu, the other Michelin starred ramen place, but the instant ramen they sell at 7/11 is by far the best instant ramen I've ever had. Also go to Shinjuku Nakajima at lunch. It's only $8 to eat at a Michelin starred place, and over $70 if you go for dinner. They only serve sardines, but they are not at all fishy. Kakigori (shave ice) - Hachiku, didn't get a chance to eat here coz the wait was 4 hours. Also Kooriya Peace is supposed to be one of the best places.

Sometimes Matcha is an acquired taste hehehe. Lays makes chocolate potato chips which are awesome! I am a total fan of the sweet salty thing like chocolate covered bacon. Personally lived in Okinawa Japan for 4 years and really hope to see you all go there if you haven't already. Would be great to compare to Hawaii which is somewhere I have yet to go to. I am so excited for this series.
