When growing up we had a delica star wagon here in New Zealand. We pronounced celica and delica as you said them ie “deleeca”, or “sillycar”, however have since adapted to more American pronunciations over the years. Subaaru became suba-ru, nis-anne became nee-sun..

When it came out, they actually advertised the Celica in Canada as “Ce-Lee-Ka” but “Ce-Lih-Ka” in the U.S. No idea why. The Japanese pronounce in “Ce-Lee-Ka” as well.

Nice meet and a lot of nice cars. Vettes, mustangs and jdm. I will pass on that stance stuff. I personally call them posers. There is something up with the rx7 fc. With a good battery and starter it should start right away. Either the running is too rich and wetting the plugs, coils or low compression. My Fd starts right up all the time as long is the battery has good juice. Rotary cars need a good strong battery to start well
