The silence of tea ceremony relaxes your mind.

For me the best moment of a tea ceremony , as a guest , is when the host adds cold water to the kettle and suddenly the noise stops and it all go silent . This is the most relaxing feeling , it is like if time stops and i am suspended in a timeless moment .

Thank you for posting your video on the Japanese Tea Ceremony - I liked the lighting in your tea room, I felt the true meaning of the Tea Ceremony during your video posting. It is nice to see a Tea Practitioner seriously doing TEA. WA, KEI, SEI, JAKU were felt during your Ceremony. (I am Joy Mari Sato - I posted the TEA AT KOKEN in 2006 -( to honor my Father, Jyuichi Sato, who practiced Tea, and my Tea Teacher Soso Kawasaki Sensei) Thank you for posting such an elegant video.

Thanks for clarifying. But what is the green powder? Surely it cant be organic green tea, must be some chemicals or additives, or the green tea leafs are processed in some way?
@kokuan88

In general, the ceremony is to doing experience of "Zen" (Buddhism). When being lost in meditation in tea ceremony, its said to be that would rather take green powder tea than green tea leaf to shake off sleepiness. because green powder tea has more strong ingredient of keeping awake, furthermore, you can feel relax, reducing the daily life stress, also can get the freedom of worship & heart in Japanese tea ceremony.

You know nothing. Hagi is supposedly influenced by Koreans, as is a few others. It has since taken on its own appeal to the Japanese seeing as the Japanese adopted both Korean and Chinese pottery into their kilns HOWEVER the Japanese were the first to seriously get involved in pottery, beating out even china. Now disappear jealous Korean. What is used now it's Korean anymore, it is Japanese because 400 years has passed since the severe Korean influence.
@JohnLee-mu2xo

"Nonetheless, Japanese pottery did not develop in a vacuum. Perhaps the greatest influence on Japanese pottery during Japan’s feudal period came from Korea. The Korean influence on Japanese pottery is profound. For example, Japan’s famous Hagi ware originated when Korean potters were brought back to Japan during the "pottery wars" of 1592 AD and 1597 -1598 AD." EVERY INFO ON JAPANESE POTTERY SOURCES BACK TO KOREA. JUST LIKE JAPANESE TEA CEREMONIES. STOP TALKING SHIT ON KOREAN CULTURAL VIDEOS!!!!

John lee There is always one jealous guy like you in every Japanese video. You guys are obsessed with the success of Japan and Japanese and how famous and respected they are around the world , while Korea is always seen as number three in Asia , after Japan and China . Your jealousy and feeling of insecurity is as absurd as it is laughable . I am not Japanese, i am not even Asian as you can see . But i have lived in China, Korea and Japan , and though China is at the origin of most asiatic arts (well that is if you don't count India which beats China , no questions asked) Japan has its own specific aesthetic and culture . It is also the closest thing to an actual democracy in Asia and the most modern, progressive and multicultural asian nation. China since the cultural revolution has lost most of its treasures and is now trying to buy it back from private or public auctions around the world . Korea is just the third country , we don't really know much about, and don't really care to know much about . And people like you, always dissing Japan are the reason why Japanese get a much better review around the world than Korean ever will . This is precisely, that kind of attitude of yours which is the core reason of the lack of recognition Korea gets . You've got your Kpop , which is sort of popular in the US among Asian Americans , but that's about it, it ends there . When people think tea , they think China, when people think tea ceremony, they think Japan . China is like the big brother who has gone too political and too capitalist , while Japan is the little brother which has kept the spirit of its origin . Korea is like the brother in between, not the youngest not the oldest , just the one in between, that nobody really cares about (maybe even from a different mother because Korea is like that wannabe american 51st state , obsessed with the idea of proving the world that it is not that irrelevant But the reality is that , it is ). Get over yourself John Lee . Your name says it all . JOHN LEE , what are you Korean , American, Asian , White , Nationalist and Patriotic or self loathing and suffering from Stockholm syndrome? One sure is certain with you people always dissing Japan and saying how much better Korea is . there is always one question you can never answer . If Korea is so much better , how come a country like Japan which was beaten down and destroyed to the core after the war, receiving two nuclear bombs and having its cities urban infrastructure and industry completely destroyed and under american occupation for nearly 20 years , managed to resurrect like a magnificent Phoenix and become for decades the richest and most powerful country in Asia and the second superpower in the world for a while . Korea , which according to you, is so much better than Japan , NEVER amounted to anything of the sort . And is still today the 12th nation on the planet in terms of superpower , while Japan is number 5 , only in front of Germany (another country beaten to the core during world war two and who resurrected magnificently , China, Russia and the US . So how do you explain that Korea which is so much better than Japan , is always behind Japan ? Simple question . Could that be because the only place on earth where people see Korea as being better than Japan is , ... Korea ? You can brainwash an entire nation, but you can't brainwash an entire planet and evidences speak for themselves .
