Japanese Wisteria at Kew Gardens (4K)

A virtual tour of some of the most beautiful Wisteria floribunda specimens growing at Kew Gardens in full flower. First is a wonderful specimen growing over a pergola at Victoria Gate beautifully displaying its elegant light purple racemes of flowers which are around a metre in length! The contrast between the Victorian tower and the modern concrete architecture with the Wisteria twisting itself around and up through creates a wonderful atmosphere, the beauty of nature against hard cold concrete. The second Wisteria we visit is a wonderful specimen with pure white flowers and the most incredible sweet scent which fills the surrounding air. Both the second and the third specimens we see are both trained as low standards; an uncommon way of training them but it works to great effect and provides a fantastic flower display.
With the gates closed and no visitors to enjoy the gardens and beautiful plants coming into bloom I'd like to share as much of the gardens with everyone who can't be here. The gardens are such a peaceful place to be and i'm very fortunate to be here amongst it all so I hope I can bring as much of the gardens to you to enjoy.
