Cutting those curves with the legs in place was probably not the easiest way to get that done. But it worked out well. 😊

That’s the whole point of his mastery. He can do amasing things with just his hands and little help from modern day tools if at all any! He’s a master of all masters. Amasing joinery.

I think you may have missed the point, it’s not about “easy” it’s about talent and amazing skill.

こんにちは。私の名前はAlex、学生です、と日本語を習っています。Japanese Carpentryはーすごく素晴らしいね!これも練習していますけど、I can't find blocks of wood like the ones you use! Where do you purchase wood from?

Beautiful as always. I think this is the first time I ever saw you use a powered tool. (bandsaw). Who taught you how to do the wood working you do?

Two sliding dovetails. The one running with the grain is extremely vulnerable (it will break along the grain under any strain). The corner piece should have been rotated 45 degrees so that its grain had the same relationship to each of the rails, and so that none of the joints ran parallel to the grain. Oh, and those who believed that H Carpenter only used hand tools have now seen him use a bandsaw. He also used a planer thicknesser for his stock preparation, as he does every time, and additionaly he used 2 different types of sanding machine to clean up the curved faces after the bandsaw work. All of that is perfectly OK, but to pretend he is doing something else is misleading.

Hello, thank you very much for the many beautiful videos. I would like to start creating wood joints soon and I have a question about the chisels you use. What steel are the chisels made of? Thanks and regards
