My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

Thinking the clarification could also go: "すみません、もいちどゆっくりおねがいします。"? I imagine the pen convo being a bit more funny. They telling you it's ぺん and you saying "はい、penはです。" and they having to explain "あの、Penはにほんごのぺんです。" and it kinda turning into a whole thing. *LOL* Just started Japanese the other day and I'm finding it a bit strange that "wa" is the subject-pointing word, but it and words like konnichiwa end in a haは and not waわ. My guess is that although spelled as "wa" in Romanization, it's considered more almost like "hwa"? Getting some good use out of y'all's material; definitely deserves more Likes

Is it correct to say "tsumetai tenki" for cold weather? What's the difference between tsumetai and samui?
@mileszeze98242 жыл бұрын
Tsumetai is when something is cold like ice or a freezer, Samui is when you are cold. So you could say samui when you walk outside on a cold day, and tsumetai when you touch a cup of ice water 😂

What should I use, Watashi, Ore or Boku?
@lodus16292 жыл бұрын
when you first meet someone or when being formal, use 私 (watashi), since its the most formal option. once you get to know that person more and become friends you can use 僕 (boku), and once you are really really close with that person you can use 俺 (ore). watashi is the most formal, then comes boku, and then comes ore being the least formal of the three. there is more ways to use them but those are just the basics.
