3:24 the way Annie just gets up in other gorillas faces (generally Kiyo and Ai) when they're eating is hilarious. I think she probably wanted to go for Nene like she normally does, but Shabani hanging around like a giant silverbacked bodyguard stopped her. 🤣 Edit: oh wait, she totally does at 4:20 when Shabani's not right next to her.

Sometimes it's seems as though Annie is the Boss 😅 I love nene but she was very cruel to Annie when she was younger. Maybe that's why Ai didn't bond with Annie when she was a baby? Annie will never forget how Nene treated her. Gorillas as so emotionally intelligent 🧠 ❤ I feel like Nene also has a problem with sharing, bless her heart. Maybe that why she was mean to Annie and never let's Ai near Shabani 🤷‍♀️

Don’t think gorillas have long term memories. Ai had a traumatic birthing process and did not bond or show proper maternal care. So Annie was hand raised. Nene had Kiyo at an older age and she was extremely bonded with him and protective. She didn’t accept Annie and viewed her as outsider. So no they never bonded or became friendly but what Annie does now is typical young adult pranks especially towards a more vulnerable gorilla. It’s all about hierarchy and not personal

I truly feel Annie doesn't like Nene because of how mean she was to her when she was brought back into the family. NENE was always picking on her, especially if Kiyomasa was involved!

Annie bless her . Karma exists and memories of abuse are ingrained on people DNA and primates too as they have 98.5 of share DNA. So she knew how abused she was and matter of fact she doesn’t do nothing bad as she went thru and matter of fact she’s just helping Nene exercise and be healthy with just run after her. Precious

@@joylee6968 I saw the videos of Nene going after Annie many times. I still believe she was just instinctively protecting Kiyo. Annie was not her child, as she was brought up by the keepers for 10 months prior to being reintroduced into the troop. No Karma, no Hate, I don't see it that way...Annie was lucky that she was accepted at all, a lot of instances there's rejections, and surrogates need to be found to take them. There are some that see and draw their conclusions in other ways.

I think on rare occasions they do. But I wish it was much more often. Especially with softer fruits for Nene. There's not a lot of soft veggies.
