Beautiful video guys! The funazushi looked great, and Uji brought back so many good memories- Takumi No Yakata is a lovely place to enjoy Japanese tea. Beautiful shots that made all these delicacies really come to life, and great job hosting, Raina :)

Such a joy to watch this one! Besides Raina literally being the one person, that nails the whatever-this-kind-of-hat-is-called in the most cool looking way, I definitely liked the Uji part the most. Serving the leftover tea leaves as a side dish is pretty awesome!

We experienced a tea ceremony in Uji back on our trip to Japan.. it was magical! We started the day in the Fushimi Inari area, then took the train to Momoyama, where we visited the Gekkeikan Sake Museum and from there we continued to Uji.. nice little side trip :)

Good to see some love for funazushi! Even when it has a reputation for being one of the major horror-foods of the world, I was also pleasantly surprised with the taste. It's just a bit weird to eat fish that tastes more a very strong cheese, something like Roquefort on steroids. Whenever I'll visit Shiga prefecture again, I will definitely try more funazushi.
@japanguide4 жыл бұрын
Indeed the taste is very close to Roquefort (on steroids hahah) !

Hi is it difficult to travel through Japan for someone who doesn't speak Japanese?
@skyrimpro1174 жыл бұрын
Only if you’re going into seriously rural areas. Many places have lots of English language signage, and Japanese are taught English- but don’t expect most to be fluent. Single words are best, like “toilet?”, rather than long sentences. All of Tokyo’s subway and train systems have English language signage, announcements, etc. google translate is your friend, but it isn’t perfect.

@@skyrimpro117 Thank you very much, I am dreaming of visiting Japan since long time ago I am always watching NHK tv it’s a wonderful country and very nice people I hope I can visit one day
