It is funny how stressful this small move is if you aren't used to grooving in any way.

That was this moment when I started to become jealous of people in the club who actually can dance and realized I should do something about it. There was no proper house dance teacher next to my place. I went to youtube and found Jardy's tutorials. That changed my game forever.

Another great job Jardy... I think your instructions are simple and understandable. You've also added the perfect amount of extra hints/ notes to these videos. People learning house styles will greatly benefit from your videos. Keep it up bro!

@T3313 I hope you don't mind me answering your question but, yes. You should keep your core strong and back straight when you're doing house. Because if your doing the jack really fast and your back is really loose you could injure your back.

I have a question! I am a complete beginner in house dancing, and you have a lot of tutorials up. I started off with basic jack because it has "basic" in it. Does anyone have suggestions what I should start learning next? Kind of a brief outline on what to work on. I'm guessing floor work should be last?
@ShinigamixEater8 жыл бұрын
Same as the basic bounce in hip hop or?
@JardySantiago8 жыл бұрын
Yui all the bouncing and grooving from different street/club styles are essentially the same - just done in different speeds and feels.

Can house be combined with either and/or breaking and hip-hop styles? When freestyling while breaking can you do house or can you break to house? (some say breaking is hip-hop only)
@JardySantiago10 жыл бұрын
You can add any steps and moves from any style to your house dance as long as you add the house feeling/essence to the moves. And yes, you can break to house. It is ok to dance any street style to any form of music. And no, breaking is not hip hop only. It's the original hip hop dance, but you can do it to any music. :)

Listen to some Fast Eddie and Sundance. Or anything on DJ international. It's called Hip house and it's nearly a lost style today. But in 89 you'd see plenty of people breakdancing to it

First, please take no offense as it's not meant to insult you (or anyone)...but that sh*t was corny when it first came, out, and it's even more goofy today. Trust me, kids that started that sh*t were doing anything but being choreographed. It's simply a natural reaction of the body to melodies that stimulant your brain. It's almost a pacifying move, in that without doing it (or vaiants thereof)...it's the same as having blue-balls. Men know what I mean. Otherwise know that you have to scratch your itch, and that'as all this is. Don't overthink it. Just do it.
