it's funny that you guys think he's a bust. The guy plays under Jeff Fisher. The worst Head coach in the modern day NFL. The offensive play calls stink, Jeff Fisher and his offensive coordinator don't know just how talented their offense truly is. Fire Jeff Fisher and his staff and hire a real head coach. This rams offense has unlimited potential and you're a fool if you don't see it. It's up to the Rams organization to realize Jeff Fisher isn't the solution.

Chris Foster you also have to take into account that this is Goff's first game & the cast around him! Goff is being coached by Jeff Fisher( you know, the worst HC in the NFL! & Boras who's probably the worst OC as well! Theirs a reason why the Rams rank dead last on pretty much every offensive category in the NFL! & Cody Kessler? Lmao! I'll tell you everything you need to know about him! I'm a huge USC fan i watched him play at the Coliseum for 2 years at USC & he's the biggest choke artist i've ever seen! I wouldn't give up on him quite yet. His O line was absolutely horrible always letting someone get in his face. His receivers aren't good enough to make up for it either. I don't think ANY QB can function under those conditions. Plus the Dolphins have a pretty good defense. I'd have started him against a weak or mediocre defense. In other words Goff got screwed over.

It's really hard to judge a player on their first game but Theres a lot to improve for him. Ball placement, throwing the ball downfield, confidence etc. He seems like a hard worker and a great guy from what I saw from hard knocks and I hope he improves. Though im not a Rams fan, I truly hope he proves everyone wrong. There's people on here talking mad crap when probably 90% haven't even touched a football and quite a few of them are probably working at some gas station or working for tips. The man graduated from Cal, he's the all time leader in passing for Cal and you guys are bashing him. You guys aren't worth the dirt on the bottom of his shoes. Successful in football or not, he's gonna grow to be successful in life and more so than 90% of you. Not saying all, so don't come to me crying how you graduated from Harvard top of your class! It was raining and he has small hands that's why he wasn't showing his usual arm strength or ball placement. His footwork actually looked pretty good surprisingly for a guy coming out of a spread system and he looked relatively comfortable behind a crappy offensive line. We'll see.

I don't get how someone can call Goff a bust or not a good QB after 1 game. You didn't expect him to come out his first game and throw for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns did you? He's not on a very good team that was playing a very hot team right now. Give him some much needed time and I think he will turn into a pretty good Quarterback. Yea if anything I'm impressed at the throwing ability and the quick release of the ball. Obvious rookie mistakes this game with timing but that will come. Goff was not very accurate, but his receivers were pretty well covered the whole game. They did not help him out too much

See what a Difference a Coach makes. Thank God the Rams realised this and fired Jeff Fisher ( Who I never liked ) I shutter to think what the Rams would be like 2 years later. Jared Goff under Jeff Fisher was never coached to his strengths and was stymied to the point of confusion. A year later under New Coach Sean McVay he went from what many considered to be a bust last in every category to first. Now he seems more comfortable and at ease and making incredible passes and the rams are now winning. He's become what The Rams knew he would be a Quality Quarterback and why they made him their #1 pick.

Some guys just aren't ready to play as rookies. It doesn't mean Goff will be a bust. It takes usually 3-4 years to know if a guy will be a bust. Goff should sit and learn for a couple of years.

Kian Gibson and a handful of his completions he led his receivers rignt into defenders for awkward hits. keep that up and theyll start dropping more and more passes out of fear.

Tommy Gorney Yeah did you see the throw that was so high on a receiver that the camera man thought it was going to the receiver way down field but it was really going to a receiver about 10-yards away and he was crushed once he came down.

well it was raining and he has small hands that's why he wasn't showing his usual arm strength or ball placement. His footwork actually looked pretty good surprisingly for a guy coming out of a spread system and he looked relatively comfortable behind a crappy offensive line. We'll see.

After watching this highlight video I'm seeing a lot of red flags. For one there are a lot of missed throws from Goff, however he was under pressure for a good part of this game. Goff does have a good arm to make all the throws, his main problem is ball placement. Honestly I didn't believe Goff was that good of a quarterback prospect, because of his lack of consistency with his accuracy.

From this video , Goff has a Strong arm, he looks very mobile, but his accuracy is whack. But it could also be caused by the tremendous pressure he has. Either way, his potential is crazy, probably why he was #1 overall draft pick, but he needs serious reps in practice

looking at this, it's NOT the OC play calling. To me it looks like Jared is about 2-3 seconds early in reading his progressions or throwing to the wrong receiver. The more muscle memory he gains the more comfortable he will be in the pocket. Right now the game is too fast for him.
