Jared gets candid about his work ethic and attributes it to the guilt he felt after an embarrassing story during his time on the Gilmore Girls. If you change an actor from not-scheduled for several days to on the call sheet for tomorrow. It's on Production to make sure he is on set the next day. They should have sent a runner the night before to make sure he knew to be on set the next morning if he wasn't answering his phone.

Yeah. I think there was something special about him at that age that allowed what others might have seen as a drag or "someone else's fault" and instead turn it into something transformational that makes him prepared for all future work.

I remember my daughter wanted to watch Gilmore Girls. I said, "No, we don't watch TV shows like that." I had no idea what kind of show it was, I just know I didn't want to watch it! She kept begging.. Long story short, I finally let her watch it one time.. I was hooked on the show, and I still watch it. It ends, and I just start over. I've always been team Dean. Lovely interview.

When women become mature they realize someone who's always by your side and provider is nuch better than sexy bad boy who disappears for no reason, rory didn't like him enough which was valid for her needs that's why it went wrong and his shadow (alter ego) demonstrates itself as jealousy which lowkey was valid seeing how things turned out

hahaha I don't think it was fully I think he was saying that he didn't have to wake up early to take his dog out because she could go on the balcony. so sleeping in and not waking up to the phone calls early is the issue. 🤣🤣 that's what I am guessing at least!

@@oldhollywoodfan8009: If you are still curious, it seems that the problem was that he wasn't supposed to be on set for a couple of days in a row, but an actress got sick, which forced the production crew to change the story line for that week. This made it where Jared suddenly was on call the next day, which he wasn't aware of. Because of this, he was very late to the set. He felt very bad about this, because he internalized the waste of time that everyone on set had to experience because of it. Episodes have very tight deadlines; so, whatever needs to be shot in a day will be shot in a day regardless of how long it takes. This means that everyone else is going to be late getting home. Late getting to see their friends and family... maybe even having to reschedule or cancel plans entirely. On top of that, he felt that he wasn't performing to the best of his ability, because he was hungover and sleep deprived from the night before. In his mind, he was letting everyone down, and he wasn't taking his job seriously. Because of all this, he radically changed his work ethic.

Exactly! I love a story about a dog - any excuse to talk about your furry family member, right? I was thinking 'huh?' I was so confused! It had no place being there and just convoluted the story! Though, I think that if I was excited about something, I'd also go off-topic, knowing that it doesn't fit in with the story I was trying to tell or the point that I was trying to make.

My guess is he was going to say that he wasn't planning to get up early (or set an alarm) because he'd left the door to the balcony open so his dog wouldn't need to be walked early in the morning. As someone with two dogs who is very much NOT a morning person, having to get up early every morning to make sure they've had a chance to go to the bathroom is not my favorite chore, but is definitely a necessary one, so that's where my mind went.

How is that on him? There's runners, production assistants, interns...so many people that should have gotten in touch with him directly. It's not the guy at the bottom of the call sheet's job to check in with the production and make sure someone hasn't called in sick that day.

Wondering how his long battle with depression has progressed from the infamous bar fight he was arrested for? Of the brother 'duo' of Supernatural' he was in major movies versus Ackles 'Valentine Massacre' a flop versus the 'The Wax Museum. Tables are turned now and Padalecki is still stuck on the CW Channel playing 'Walker, Texas Ranger'. A bowel movement regurgitated show that the station felt worthy of sponsoring. I understand there are a few 'Chuck Norris' fans out there' but not enough to make him a star. I hope that Jared has a last chance to prove his acting skills beyond the CW.💥
