There's a saying we say as ARMY, "You don't find BTS, BTS finds you when you didn't know you needed them most." Anyone, anywhere, at any age can be an ARMY. You can know nothing, or everything about them, and still FEEL like you are ARMY. Being ARMY is a feeling, and not necessarily a label. You automatically become part of a family without even knowing it. Welcome new ARMYs! 💜

I'm a 58 yr old Army mom. My twin daughters introduced me to them in 2018 and we travel and go to every show we can! Their music saved my daughter's life. She suffers from severe anxiety and depression and I do believe they saved her life. So many of their lyrics called out to her and their love yourself series truly taught her to love herself and forgive herself! They are a culture shifting phenomenon given as a gift exactly when our world needed them. I pray for their protection because the evil in this world will continue to go at them hard. This Army has their backs! WELCOME TO THE ARMY FAM!!

Jared and Jordan you said that they are an example for artists and people in the music/entertainment industry. Believe it not just those industries but businesses as a whole. Could you imagine having a leader like Bang Si-hyuk and RM in the workplace, it would be hard to find jobs because nobody will want to leave. I am not a young ARMY, but I am a loyal ARMY because you hurt them and I get hurt. I have a travel business and I was in a rut during the pandemic when I heard Dynamite. I listen to it a few times then non-stop, then I researched all about them and everything they are doing and did. I even research the meaning of their songs and I am learning Korean (for the past 18 months,) so not quite fluent but I can write and read Hangul because they are inspiring me to go beyond what others say I can do. That is how they have changed my life, to love myself, to do my best, and most of all they have given me back my creativity for writing and photography. It may not be a life or death story, but they have lifted me up from feeling anxious and unworthy. When I am writing or researching trips or otherwise I am always listening to them. Am I fed up with listening to their songs every day...my answer is and I will use a question...Am I fed up with breathing and living? BTS WILL ALWAYS HAVE ME AND THE ARMY BY THEIR SIDE because they are genuine, sincere and humble.

Personally, The Rise of Bangtan series is my absolute fav documentary because it shows events from Bts pov as they're growing into the people they are today, as well as the environment they were in during that time. If you want to truly see how this group was in the beginning and their motivations and hardships then this is the series for you. It also shows some of the history of kpop in general, the incredible level of competitiveness, some of the dark sides, what Bighit did different, and the opinions of those that looked down on Bts even before their debut. If there is one series I think you would enjoy it's this one. XCeleste introduction is very good but it really is only an intro so it's literally just scratching the surface.
@che19182 жыл бұрын
that was my immediate thought too, the Rise of Bangtan docu-series would be amazing for their level of emotional maturity as reactors. i'd be very interested to hear their commentary. they were correct in a broad sense at 19:50 when they said these were formative years that nobody sees, but BTS definitely shared a lot of it with us. the Rise of Bangtan does an incredible job at narrating that -- through BTS' pov was the perfect way to put it -- and gives a much, *much* deeper insight into what those years were like, as well as how BigHit deviated from 'standard' K-Pop/industry culture. really hoping they give it a try!

I also recommend watching 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Goes On' [2021 update] by The Asian Theory Channel. It goes a bit more into not only how the members were brought together but where the idea of them came from. You'll get to know a bit about their backgrounds individually, their work ethic, genre of music they started as, and how they grew as a group, and their struggles to get to where they are today. Also their personal involvement in helping create their music. It's one of the best videos made about BTS that I've seen. Highly recommend. Edit: Upon further review of the 2022 update, it good and accurate. But they no longer talk about the discography and the members involvement in the creative process of making their songs. So I would suggest watching the first one and then the 2022 update. I appreciate you guys taking the time to read my comment and considering my/our suggestions. 💜

Oh my gosh, I love you guys! Thank you so much for being open-minded and actually taking the time to learn about our boys! People like to say all kinds of rude things about Army as a fandom but we're protective of them because they've been through so much. I don't mind people being honest and if they don't like a song that's totally fine but when people are racist or don't give them a chance that's when Army stands up for them! Please continue on this journey! BTS are so versatile it's actually ridiculous. Please react to the Rise of Bangtan series and also a video called "This is BTS Crash Course" by Suga and Spice. Both of these will give you more in-depth information on BTS as a whole but also individually! Welcome to Army!!!

Loved your reaction. Every army has a similar story as to why we Stan them. Bang PD really did everything right when he put BTS together. In KPop, once you pass auditions, you become a trainee. There are usually 20-30 trainees at a time. These people go through tests and get eliminated. Our boys were the ones remaining. You can teach vocal skills, dance skills, rap skills. What you can’t teach is work ethic and humility. These boys work harder than anyone I’ve ever seen. They are truly good people and have enough humility to realize that they didn’t achieve all of this on their own. That’s why they are all able to buy into the music and artist for healing concept. They will never be replicated. It’s a perfect storm.

I happen to stumble across these reactions. I have to admit. I feel very shameful towards myself. Until now, I was ambivalent towards BTS and their story. I thought the fans/ARMY were cringy with angsty teens. But watching these reactions and their discussion made me realize how incredible BTS is as well as members of ARMY. How could I have been so ignorant and arrogant? I respect it. I respect them and their fans. I respect the healthy relationship between BigHit and BTS as well as their relationship to their fans. With this fresh in mind, I will be be listening to their music as open as I can be. It still may not be to my taste but I want to see the full development behind their story. Their success. I do hope that this would serve as a model for future artists and other music magnates that this should be industry standard; treating both artist and fans with the respect they deserve. I hope and wish the best to them and Big Hit with their continuous success; and to lead the world with open arms the way they've done with their big heart. This was an eye opening experience that came quite late and served as a reminder that I too need to strive to be a better person so that I can at least a fraction of their good will. This was a great reaction and commentary; as well as an eye opening lesson for me.

i really appreciate how you guys decided to learn about bts before listening to more of their music, I think it helps you connect with their music more. i became an ARMY two months ago and did the same thing you guys did. i did a month worth of research and watching videos and reading because I wanted to know who bts is instead of diving straight into the music and deciding if it's good or bad. before becoming an ARMY I only heard dynamite and boy with luv on the radio and on tiktok and it was meh to me because those are your typical pop radio songs but I soon learned more about them and decided to listen to their discography from their very first album and go on form there and It took me a month to listen to all of their albums just intime for their recent release "PROOF" and I'm glad i decided to do research first because it helped me appreciate each of the boys and their music more

⚠️Long comment ⚠️ Hi! I thank my friend the KZbin algorithm that sends me everything that says BTS. I watched the last reaction and loved it. Thanks for giving the guys a chance, I warn you this is a rabbit hole. There are many things to react to from BTS, from documentaries, behind scenes, blogs, music videos to compilations, even they have their own reality show, so don't worry, react to what catches your attention and at your own pace but army likes good content, which you have, So hahahahaha maybe you see that the views go up a bit and the comments section explodes with suggestions, again, this is normal when we talk about BTS. Pd: If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask, but many times without even asking we leave the information in the comments 😬 Pd2: We love reactors that really interact in the feedback session, keep doing it. Pd3: Don't worry about Pause or Go back, even if a reaction has 1 hour duration, we will see it Pd4: sorry for the long comment Question of the day: you will guess what is the official color of the fandom? 💜WELCOME TO THE RABBIT HOLE💜

19:40 actually I think the bonding happened even more after debut when they were shunned, made fun of, disrespected, and then after success started happening, being made fun of in the media including racism and xenophobia, and then having to be brave together pushing through fear barriers achieving success beyond their comprehension and having only each other who can understand what their level of global success feels like, being major pioneers, they're literally so undeniable they're singlehandedly changing the music industry, forcing the music industry to pay attention to the Asian audiences. They are so special they are another Beatles phenomenon but while performing in Korean!

Right. They didn’t debut right after meeting each other or in other words, it’s not that their formative years as a group started after they debuted. Most of the formative bonding happened predebut. They did became even closer over the years.

Welcome baby ARMYs! We loooove newbies! Know that you now have friends everywhere around the world. The thing that BTS teaches their ARMY is to love ourselves and other people and to bring positive energy into the world. There are a few ARMYs that haven’t totally understood that message yet, but everyone is on their own path and timeline for self development and all we can do is to encourage them and hope that they will eventually get to a place where they love and accept themselves enough not to lash out at other people. If you watch the hardship video there is a 2021 update, the one linked in the description of this video is probably the 2019 version.

It includes member vlogs, music video clips and backstage interactions. Their staff filmed everything from day one so it is rare to have this type of experience with an artist. Watching them progress and grow is very endearing. The series also gives alot of insight about the kpop industry as well as the Korean culture.
