You can definitely win the guitar lottery with a Squier. It was my first guitar and every shop that's worked on it has said the build quality is on-par with a Mexi Strat and they fall in love with it. That's just the build quality and playability though, hardware would need upgrading to match.

Almost 7 years later and it’s crazy to look back on this video. I got into guitar a little bit before this came out, in my 7th grade year. I graduated HS May of 2023, last year at the time I’m typing this. I have to give big thanks to Jared for putting this together, as this video is how I discovered TheDooos channel. I’ve been subscribed since the moment I checked out his page back in 17 or 18, and I’ve stuck with ever since. Because of that I’m now also a fan of the Goons podcast and all their separate channels, including Soup who became my favorite KZbinr in general. TheDooo is also responsible for my initial discovery of The Last of Us, as he played the theme song for someone in one of his videos and I was immediately captivated by it and wanted to learn it. Halfway through learning the song I decided it would probably be a good idea to at least watch through the game who’s theme I was learning, and from that decision and subsequent watch-through and later on play-throughs, The Last of Us became one of the biggest impacts on my life that any media has ever had. All of that stems in originality from this very video when I went down the list and checked out the channels of all the people who collaborated. It’s absolutely crazy to me that I remember it all starting from here and I couldn’t be more glad that’s how things worked out.
