I struggle with spending $5000 for a week of vacation and there are people that can afford half a million for a week. That is crazy and awesome at the same time. What an experience it would be to spend a week on that gorgeous vessel!!

Definitely reserved for the ultra wealthy but an experience even they would struggle to forget I think. Thanks for watching
@brolohalflemming7042 Жыл бұрын
I think that's the magic of the charter experience. The crews and management go to a lot of effort to make everything perfect and create that experience. Loon has the reputation for doing this very well, and it's up to the guests to decide how much their experiences and memories are worth. If it's a group chartering, super yachts have 12 guest limit so the cost becomes "only" $45k a head, which is closer to other luxury holidays. Sure, you'd still need to be wealthy, but you'll get that ultra-wealthy experience!

@brolohalflemming7042 Жыл бұрын
@@kb9liq It's certainly not cheap, but there are ways. I used to run a business and we'd get offers of corporate hospitality packages, which included charters. There were more expensive things, like hospitality at F1 races and major sports events. I also know people who've retired, downsized and used some of that money to treat themselves. If there's a group of friends doing this around the same time, cost is more manageable.

Love the video footage Jared! You and your team continue to amaze with the quality shooting and editing. One thing from a content perspective, I kinda feel it over the top for the cabin stew's to constantly be cleaning and fixing the beds after EVERY use! I am definitely not use to that level of service! I would be just fine to have a daily clean, Excellent food, and a seaborne adventure. Don't get me wrong, I think these girls work very hard (Loon and other yachts you have showcased). Personally, the best of my day (if I were onboard) would be having early morning coffee with the captain on the bridge! I'm an old sailor at heart, can't sleep in, and love seeing a boat in operation. Thanks, Jared.

Lots of respect for the crew (except that one guy who missed his line throw, we all saw you on IG, you know who you are) Been following them for a little while and it's like the whole crew was asked to "Jared" (yes i turned your name into a verb) The captain is young and laid back so that seems to trickle down to the crew, making for a veeeryy relaxed boat on screen, can you comment about if this is the standard in the industry or an exception? Is my assessment wrong?
@jaredwatney Жыл бұрын
Haha that may be the first time I have been used as a verb. A boat crew and type of person definitely filters down from the captain. Everyone onboard is proud to be on Loon and it shows. Having a crew like this is what separates great boats from the crowd. The ability to offer crew a unique package, be it unique locations, holiday, good pay, a spot on a vessel in the limelight, a family style crew etc. It’s not the “norm” and there really is no norm. Each vessel is run differently. Each vessel attracts a different type of client.

Greetings from Colorado, Jared! Your recent vids, the last 5 or 6 videos chronologically, show quite disparate information. Each is significantly different in terms of production, quantity of time, who is speaking and what's the topic. Oh yeah, then there's quality. Then there's your audience. Like he Looky Lou's who never have nor ever will. Then there's front or back from simply producers or consumers. These are huge piles of STUFF to consider, ALL of which is often as different as power vs sail or horses vs cars in terms of community. Now that your personal job constraints and opportunities have changed in the last year. I😮😮s there something you could do with the role of Captain? You are a dang-nappit Captain, Jared. The videos you produce are unique. Your eye for describing each position on board, the minutia of how it does and does not work and the hugestest component is that you seem to have access to multiple yachts infrequent succession. Could you promote this role as a foundation AND centerpiece for all types of KZbin audience? Including a how to /consultant channel for Superior owners and mega got captains to change or improve operations? After all, we are talking about people who think NOTHING of throwing down $500k to $5mil, all in, for A WEEK of R&R? EVERYbody would kill to be a fly on THAT wall. Yo.

If I were a billionaire, any super yacht crew would love to get me as a guest. I would insist that they be allowed to eat with me at the table. I would insist that they would be allowed to party with me in the saloon. It would be as much their charter, as it was my own. Any time that they were off duty, they should be considered by the rest of the crew as a guest.
