It’s a special breed that choose to be a chef. Long hours, fast pace, multi tasking galore and constant making a mess and cleaning. Either of these two women would be a catch for anyone. Hard working and seemingly good personalities.

I've just come back to your videos having not subscribed before and lost the thread. The prawn with remoulade recipes really grabbed me. So much that I did it for my dinner last night. I made the remoulade again today, but this time I grated the celeriac which I found easier. Love the cooking and extremely jealous that I am too old to crew and too poor to charter!

Welcome back!! You guys should be guest crew chefs for other boats! And make sure they are cool with making youtube videos. I bet a lot of them would love to have you on. On the last trip I went on to the Bahamas, we had the hardest time finding a good chef. Oh BTW, I like Kamikoto knives. I have three of them!

Just discovered this channel and have been "listening and taking a peek" as I do my work - all day today :) ...... Must admit that I envy the fact that you find the time to do these films inbetween all your other reponsibilities....... Nice job! I cook and have two hours a day to cook, serve and eat lunch (our main meal) with our family......... so when I say that I envy your planning, believe me - you are brilliant at it!

I just made the "honey nut salad" and it was DELICOUS. The honey and salt with the toasted nuts was divine. I used crushed walnuts, chopped pistachios and pine nuts.

Another great way to substitute buttermilk is to mix regular milk with a little lemon juice. That way you don’t miss out on the buttermilky tang. If you didn’t have lemon juice you could also use vinegar, but lemon juice is better.

Ladies you are both very talented and blessed to work in awell e uipped galley. I would call the lovely little fried shrimp on fresh baked thin breads Banh Mi ,in name of the Vietnamese/ French go to sandwich. The vegie slaw and the small baguettes make it a twin to me.
