Well Jari and co. that little snippet (of the final mix) we hear at the end this video gave me the goosebumps and.. well.. I had to stop the video for a few seconds because i literally had tear coming up. Jari, i mean guys, let me tell you something i truly believe. To reach the EPICER state, a piece of music must have more than a bunch of guys thrown in a room to sing. In the case of Wintersun, the EPICER state is often reach (easily) because of 4 key elements : the writing, the performance, the arrangement, and the production. IMHO, Wintersun is capable of delivering godlike quality in those 4 departments. Thus, giving me tears, goosebumps, and the stamp of success.

I love that Henri Sorvali of Moonsorrow has shit all over Wintersun for their crowdfunding using The Forest Seasons, but Mitja Harvilahti of Moonsorrow is part of the choir vocals for the album.

No, Jari was initially planning to be in Wintersun and Ensiferum simultaneously. He booked studio time to record Wintersun, but it conflicted with Ensiferum's tour dates. When Jari requested a break from the band, they fired him.

NothingIsForgotten The SoWaS choir sounds unmatched so far, hard to pinpoint the difference but it was just out of this world. And there's a long stairway leading up to that culmination, while this is just a chorus after the folk break.

I heard the live recording a lot of times to get used to the song's structure. Although you're right, let's still wait for the full studio version. But this one has a marching feel to it, the parts are like cut by the blade, while SoWaS was a smooth continuous stream.
