The run of the mill person who never heard of fighting until Joe Rogan told them about BJJ or MT will say MT. That is not objectively true. The reality is that MT is designed for ONE person being confronted at a time. It can be adjusted, but karate is designed for self defense. The issue today is that Karate is not generally taught for the street like it was 50 years ago.

If you look at the young man's history of trying to get good fights, there always some type of shenanigans with the negotiations. When they started comparing his performances, as a prime of career 27 yo to those of a 37 yo Terence Crawford I knew it was a sham. Crawford at 27 was smoking people. Your defensive/offensive output shouldn't be comparable to a 37yo at the end of his career.

I think Boots wants to stay at 147. The champions at 147 won't fight Boots. Inactivity will kill Boots career. Virgil should not fight Boots at 147. I think Boots will beat Virgil if he can stay active.

Anyone who is not bringing in bias cannot see Jaron Ennis go more than 6 rounds with a firing Virgil Ortiz Jr, one of the true warriors fighting. Boots needs to be bigger and have an advantage or he gets exposed.
