Just watching them guys crack each other with full force before they wrestle lets you know they’re serious--mma would have a huge problem if these guys looked over at the UFC, they’d need to adapt a little but as a base Senegalese wrestling could take someone right to the top; they’re amazing fighters and the fact it’s second only to football in Senegal as a national sport lets you know how much strength in depth there is over there,

A bunch of years ago, I found some of your old boxing videos, the ones with the red curtain background, being referenced on a Serbian blog by legit coaches talking about good resources on boxing. I remember thinking, just as you'll often find the best training and information in a scruffy local gym, true gems of wisdom were hidden in these grainy videos. They felt like the final test of Indiana Jones choosing the real Holy Grail among dozens of flashy, gem-encrusted gold cups that were just for show.

What are your views on the Savate martial art?
@TheUmmahFightCamp2 күн бұрын
I think highly of savate in its original form since the art was practiced with shoes on for the purpose of targeting shins, knees and so on with hard bottom shoes. When savate is practiced without shoes, it is little more than exotic kickboxing.

I made a comment in your other video about the body scissors as a response to the guy who left that comment but you delete it but ya the body scissors is catch version of a guard you have attacks like the leg nelson double wrist lock and coil lock just to name a few most guys you see on youtube who leave comments like that have never trained catch wrestling and just make stuff up to make bjj look better
@TheUmmahFightCamp2 күн бұрын
@wesleyjackson7487: When a comment is in response to one I delete, that comment goes also. I LOVE good back and forth battles on youtube, but I have to place a limit on it or nothing that I really like gets done! As for the submissions in catch, I am away of them, but I ONLY talk of what an art does in the cage. I am not at all concerned with sport catch no more than I am with sport bjj. The point I was making was the greco roman applications used on the bottom to show the practicality of the tie up, horizontal or vertical. And no, most people who troll or try to troll this channel have no clue.

I don't talk about the credit to get people to feel otherwise really. I really don't. I really would hate to have to search for trending boxing info to stay relevant because I could not do anything else! Or to tag all of my videos just right to make sure enough people see it so I would not have to work for a living. Autonomy is increased with your independence of people. The more people you need, the less ownership you have of your days. The viewership of KZbin searchers don't determine the ability for me to take my wife to a play or our favorite beach front winter getaway. Blessings and thank you for the years of support. Sayf C

Homosapiens are a form of ape if you are human you share 98.9 % of the same DNA as apes ..us so called black people do not have the same cell structure as other races.
@TheUmmahFightCamp3 күн бұрын
@Bronzefoxx: I will not spare you as a black man who is wrong any faster than a white man who is wrong about what I say or mean. You picked out one thing I said that was not the subject of the video in order to try to find fault with what I said. That leaves me no choice but to address your comment. So here we go: First I do NOT believe that humans evolved from Apes. That aside, I will stick to your point. According to modern anthropology homosapiens are NOT a form of ape! Apes are clearly put into the Ape category and that category exist today. Next, the 5% difference that humans are supposed to have between them and Apes is a big 5% that distinguishes them from us so the amount of DNA two species have in common does not matter nearly as much as what that 5% accounts for. Next, on the issue of cell structure, if one is to believe humans came from apes and for sure those Apes were from Africa as was the first black man the cell structure of humans most in common with the Ape would be the black man. Lastly, cell structures are not static. evolution, both Micro and Macro is a constant process of interaction between Genes and environment. So much so as it being impossible to separate the two. I get it, you are proud to be black as you should be, but we do not have to deny or change what is known about us.

Couldn’t you argue humans are also natural boxers because our bodies evolved to throw things? Punches included
@TheUmmahFightCamp3 күн бұрын
@liammorris7324: Catch is OBJECTIVE driven. To manipulate an object on the body in the opposite direction of its function. I did NOT say Sambo, or BJJ because they are systems. Boxing is a system. I have never seen a baby use the Philly Shell although the Peek A Boo style of defense seems to be natural to us from infancy. Now, if you are asking if I think striking with some part of the fist is natural in some way, yes, I see some evidence of that.

Better or simpler?
@TheUmmahFightCamp3 күн бұрын
@Judokajoe1970: Things are all better or worse in consideration of their function. A cup is better or worse depending on its ability to hold fluids of certain amounts and temperatures. A shot glass does not have to hold what a coffee cup holds, but at minimum, it has to hold what another glass called a "shot glass" holds. When it comes to self defense, simpler IS better so long as the objective and possible outcome of the more complex system is the same as that of the simpler one.

I agree . "Say Uncle " was our tap out in the 60's and 70's . Humans have been beating the hell out of each other since the dawn of man . All martial arts is simply physics and biology and neither of those have changed either , so there are no "new" martial arts, just re-discovering them. I adore Catch Wrestling , it's just non stop pain compliance . I'm rarely the best grappler on the mat , but I have the biggest bag of dirty tricks!
