Two big reasons why india lost to new zealand. #1 Rohit is washed and is hiding his lack of form in the name of intent , #2 Virat like most englishmen cannot play spin.

Few points that I want to make- 1)He doesn't choke on big stages when the matches are outside of India. 3)As you can see he is an annihilator on foreign pitches. 2)He will be the most destructive bowler with the pink ball after Bumrah.MARK IT. 3)he will most probably get POTM in 1 of the 4 remaining tests. 4)Siraj is far better choice with the new ball than Shami.He can swing it too good. I haven't seen anyone bowling that Unplayable 140kph top of off stump outswinging delivery more times than Mohammed Siraj in the last 2 years. He had bowled that his signature delivery to Cummins at the end of day 3 But he missed by few inches. It would have been the ball of the match. Lucky Pat. 5)He would be the last pacer to get injured,tired. He has the same energy in the 1st over & the 20th over that he bowls. That man is RIGID. 6)That aggression will keep rising. You can't sledge him,he will hammer you on this conditions. 7) There's reason why ABD nicknamed him 'Miya Magic'.You will get to know why on 6 November & onwards. 8)On his day even bumrah has to get happy with 1-2 wickets as he wraps up everyone else. Hope it happens in BGT. 9)only Jasprit in the world has performed better than him in tests in this WTC cycle on away tours. Averaging mere 11. @dhineshkanna5202Ай бұрын
I think Shami and Hazelwood need to be the main talking points of next test. Both seam bowlers extremely accurate quick and get wickets in heaps when bowling just that bit fuller instead of back of length. Become major threat considering pink ball is harder to sight in night conditions, extrapolated swing and seam movement at fair bounce, coming quicker at you with shorter time span for batters to react. Not expecting much out of Marnus and Smith who have exaggerated trigger movements to set themselves up prior to each delivery, giving themselves extremely low time span to react to a ball, hence making their chances more circumspect of getting a decent score under lights. Kohli s favorite ground at Australia is Adelaide, scored 80 odd in previous series here in 1st innings, so he knows how to get his way around here. Jaiswal has had to work extremely hard between innings to improve his reaction time to the ball, so can’t expect much out of him except some fireworks in 1st session if put into bat by Aussies. Would like to see KL Rahul open and Sharma to be generous enough to bat at 3 leaving Gill in the middle order. You do need a person to blunt out the new ball and see off each bowler s first spell.
@srikarsgs22Ай бұрын
It could be a good ploy if Rohit returns to Number 5 in Tests. Because, by the time, the ball loses its shine , you have Rohit, Pant and Nitish, who are good hitters of the ball.
@Aragorn1964Ай бұрын
I think Jarrod Kimber overweights his own past assessments of players, and in particular his assessments of a player’s “recent” form (even when people haven’t played test cricket for half a year). I think this video also neglected to mention one of the most important variables in this series: what Steve Smith does. He looked in good nick in that second innings until he got a very good ball. How he plays I think will be a huge factor in this series result.

Ok i predicted 5-0 but did not expect jaiswal to standup. For aussies to win they have to knock jaiswal with single digit score. Longer he stays it bring calmness to other batsman. India have more kryptonites than australia have for indian batsman. India is literallying playing with 9 batsman . sure india also played with 9 batsman in 1st test Gill and rohit are bunny of lyon KL rahul play is key. he can stab india by getting out too quick or running out sundar. Good rahul or Evil rahul show up? if india dont change from 7 , it will be very exciting test match. I want aussie to win but it may not happen. Draw is ok i guess.

Spicier the wickets, the better it is for India as it makes their bowling attack on par or better than the Aussies. Also, the Indian batsmen are more robust and appear more adept in terms of technique, skill and grit to counter the Aussie conditions especially at the Optus, Adelaide under lights and Gabba. In terms of Aussie tactics and planning, it seems a bit like the Indians providing rank turners and getting ambushed at home playing the Kiwis!!

This is a great analysis Mr. Kimber. May I suggest that you are missing one very key element - Umpiring. The manner in which KL Rahul was dismissed in the 1st innings of the Pert test shows you that Aussies can use biased umpiring even in the age of DRS to win games. Before DRS, it was rampant. All they had to do is target key players like Tendulkar on the opposition side or defend key players like Waugh brothers or Ponting. That was the secret formula for many of their wins. I think should be considered in your analysis and have 3 checks against for Australia.

Unfortunately, no Shami for the 2nd Test either. I can’t recall where, but I did see someone confirm it. It’s infuriating as an Indian fan. He’s been bowling every day in domestic cricket and looks fit and fine. I get that injuries are complicated, but it’s still incredibly frustrating. During commentary, Mark Waugh asked Harsha Bhogle what’s going on with Shami, and Harsha explained something about him playing domestically and the protocols for clearing a player as fit. Waugh, in his usual blunt style, just said, “Why would you be mucking around with that? Just get it done and get him out here.” Again, I get that injuries aren't always simple, but for Harsha to talk about protocol rather than his recovery from the actual injury was frustrating.
