+Jan Kriegel i know right. but a lot of times people dont want to see the truth so since they are true a lot of people dont want to watch them ;)

Agreed!! Seriously! This band is the reason i'm a musician! lol

Reason: They are too far to the Right for KZbin's owners. Check out anything progressive and they'll have several million views, not because anyone listens to it but because KZbin purposefully takes sides and pushes content that is progressive.
@Antnj816 жыл бұрын
Jan Kriegel I think the reason is is because their market and their rise was almost entirely based on Christians. Jars of Clay hasn't been making Christian music lately, but rather generic empty and facile sounding songs in a desperate attempt to market their sound to a secular audience. By doing so, they've alienated their core fan base and put themselves into a place where they will eventually fall into obscurity

I love Jars of Clay so much that my friends make fun of me for it, lol. Praise God for revealing His glorious voice through such talented individuals.

Jars of Clay rocks. This song is so true. If we as people would strive to become closer to God the world would be a better place but we live in both the spiritual and the natural some of us strive to become closer with one hand but then we are pulled back to the world by the other. This song summed it all up nicely. Jars of Clay has such a passion for God and his kingdom. Plan and simple amazing song.

I cant belive this doesnt have more "likes!" It doesnt matter when it was written, its timeless. I think a lot of people struggle with commitment to their faith. For me personally, I wonder what would happen if i were more dedicated to christ... This is my feel good song when I am feeling discontent with turmoils in my own life. It speaks to me. LOVE IT!

Listening in 2022 and I can't say I've heard any Jars songs on Christian radio at all recently. Pretty unfortunate. What an awesome band. I hope they get uncovered and people discover the wonderful music they produced.

I'm in Peru. We just had elections and I spent many days along with many others fighting corruption with joyful faith and truth. We didn't win according to their numbers, but we so did set an example. Still, my heart was a little weary, and I just found this song. Thank you!!! I am sharing it with all my friends and also thank you for going to Africa. I have friends who do ministry there and I hope to go sometime myself.

A sound about the internal fight we all endure if we are honest. I wrestle with the flesh, if I had two hands, and knew what each one of them were doing at the same time, I would worship God. Then my entire being would be in sync.

Agreed. Even though I'm a Christian, I think so much of Christian music is wimpy and dorky. Jars of Clay always amazes me, because the guys seem both wimpy and dorky, yet their music never fails to hit my heart. It's what I want my kids to listen to, to understand God, sin, repentance, and the struggle against evil.

this song is an example of how many christians live while they pull god close with one hand they push him away with the other simply because of the things in thise world. remember this world is only temporary after this its hevean or hell and i dont know about you but i want tro be heaven with the lord and jesus. so let us not push him away but let us pull him closer with to hands. praise the lord!!!

One of their best songs. An anthem for Americanized Christians who are soft and lazy and could do more in places like the third world and everywhere the hurting exist in war and abject poverty. Including this man. This is bluntly honest about who we are and who we are not and need to be. Two hands working toward the same thing. The world would be changed forever if that was the case.
@kekistanikekfrog70516 жыл бұрын
Well the good news is Africa is being lifted up, not by welfare but by hard work and Free Market Capitalism. At some point we need to get the aid groups OUT of there and good jobs IN there and the living standards will go up. Aid should only go to hopeless cases like lepers and AIDS victims.
@kekistanikekfrog70516 жыл бұрын
Also Chinese investment has been opening millions of jobs in Africa and thanks to the hiring boom, poverty might become a thing of the past over there except in a few isolated pockets.
@kekistanikekfrog70516 жыл бұрын
I would also make the correct argument that Latin America really needs to open up it's job markets a bit more by deregulation and getting rid of taxes on businesses and again, jobs will open as investors come down and thanks to the Free Market cycle. living standards will go up. I don't want to be a dick about this but the man who prays all day and doesn't work is a poor man at the end of the year. People have to make their own living and their own destiny, at some point you have to exercise free will. I hope that Christians on welfare will read this comment and begin the process of getting off the false hope train and work to improve their own lives.

@metroid630 haha yeah, I went to the Harvest on Sunday this year in Anaheim. Franceca Battesteli, Jars of Clay, and Jeremy Camp performed. I also went to the Dodgers Stadium one this past weekend. :) It was an amazing time. When Chris Tomlin came out at the end...man..the worship was amazing..the holy spirit descended something fierce that night. It was absolutely wonderful.
