I 100 percent agree. I love hearing the note linger before the vibrato. Carol has such a mastery of the high range. During my playing days, I would feel my embouchure tiring. This caused pinching off the high register leaving a forced strained sound. I enjoy hearing the control thru the entirety of the note. Well done.
@CarolJarvisMusic9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I love the high register - I’m definitely most comfortable up there 😊 I was on bass trombone for 2 weeks of gigs recently and properly had to practise for that stuff!!

At age 76, I have heard a lot of trombones. The purity of your tone is beyond anything I have heard. I always thought there was a territory between the trumpet and the trombone that has not been explored. You did it. Congratulations
@afloatingpineapple61705 жыл бұрын
In between a trumpet and a trombone is a french/ tenor horn
@thomaskipf42904 жыл бұрын
@@afloatingpineapple6170 MIght I disagree: French horn and ternorhorn belongs to the horn family of instruments, whereas trombone an trumpet belong to the trumpet family. The sound is completely different and her sound is fantastic, beyond my possibility of explanation

There's a tone that just sends chills up your spine and makes you get tears of joy in your eyes, when your ears hear the precious tone of what an instrument is SUPPOSED to sound like. That's how I hear Carol Jarvis, when she speaks thru her Trombone !.She makes her Trombone sound like it is supposed to! I'm fixing to turn 70, and Carol, Glenn Miller and others in the big band community of the 40's, had that sound. So many TRY to do it justice. Carol DOES ! THANK YOU !!!.
