Jase Has Multiple Birthdays Because the Internet Lies & Phil Hates the Rising Crime | Ep 562

Jase says the truth is a difficult thing to know, especially for famous people. Just take the fact that, according to the internet, he has one birthday, but it's different from his ACTUAL birthday. So every year, he has birthday messages on both days. Jase tells Al he should just cut off his injured finger - and what a great sermon illustration that would be, right?
Phil is sure he's never seen this much crime, not just in the country, but in the world - and Jase says this is because the population is the highest it's ever been. Al says the unforgivable sin is to deny that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. You can't separate Jesus from good. You can't separate Satan from evil. Jase cautions against anyone calling something that is obviously sinful behavior "justified" and "good" - that's a dangerous place to be!

What I believe is worse than death of a son is a son who chose to walk away from his family due to drugs & left them behind because they would not continue to support his habits... I haven't seen my son, as of this Thanksgiving for 6 yrs. Because of his choices. In my opinion this is worse than death because, if he just see the devil has him under his thumb . And that we accept him as he is & are willing to listen & give help he would let us.. I pray every day for my son . I pray he is well , wherever he may be at this point in his life ***

Either way, God will intervene and take care of it. Just keep praying! Sometimes addiction is a long hard road. And sometimes we need to hit rock bottom before we see The Light. (That was me for about 15 years except I didn't quite hit rock bottom.) I will keep you and your family in my prayers Miss Paula. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

I've always been an avid outdoorsman and grew up in a very conservative home. Therefore, I am not a fan of the overly dramatic. As a kid we went to church, but as I got older that stopped and I faded away so to speak. I didn't always relate to local church officials and their screaming/dramatic methods. I am a quiet person. However, I always kept my passion for hunting, fishing, etc. This is important because one day, a handful of years ago, I randomly scrolled by a video on KZbin of Phil preaching in Georgia. That video changed my life. Phil reminds me a lot of my grandpa. Very blunt yet kind, and is an avid outdoorsman like myself. He was someone I could relate to preaching a message I needed to hear. God knew exactly how to reach me, and knew exactly who I'd listen to. What an extraordinary thing.

It takes a specialist to fix a finger, and that first doc ain't it. Specialists can reconstruct a lot of things. University teaching hospitals are awesome. Dallas, New Orleans, etc. I had a chainsaw accident last December. It tried to split my head in half. Went 1cm into my skull before it bounced down my face, and stopped at my shoulder. What helped, was it was electric not gas (less power, easier to shut off), and I had on some safety equipment. I got sent to Childrens Hospital in El Paso. Nerves in my forehead, completely numb. Which was a blessing in disguise, because I didn't feel pain. "All things work together for good, to them that love the Lord." Anyway, I got assigned to a plastic surgeon, and he stitched up 4 gashes, including that huge one in my forehead. Only I can see the scar in my forehead now. It's thin as a thread. It's taken most of this year, but my forehead is no longer numb. The doc was GOOD. Anyway, think about seeing a specialist. And thank you for your podcasts.

Hey Al! That finger injury sounds disturbing. Two years ago, I ran a saw through my hand and cut it in half, but thanks to God placing the right surgeon at the right place at the right time, I still have 3 fingers and one works somewhat. Let me know if you would like his name. I'm told he's the best hand surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. By the way I love your show.

I Just saw an article on my news app earlier today about something that was wrong and people were backing this woman up for what she had done! I'm just like what in the world is wrong with these people? Well, we all know the answer... lack of Jesus in their lives. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Praise the Lord for these great gentlemen doing this Bible study. I just found it last week. Allen I have a mallet finger which is on my left ring finger. After weeks of wearing a splint which did not work. I switched doctors. I had surgery which helped some. My finger is still bent a little but not as bad as before. The doctor said even after surgery there would be a little bend. Such a weird thing to happen.

What Jase was talking about at the 40min mark reminds me a lot of Monty Python's Life Of Brian. I know a lot of people are offended by that movie but i find it harmless entertainment because it's not actually taking a shot at Jesus. It asks an actually quite good religious question, how would an average guy, namely the titular Brian with all his human faults and imperfections handle being put in Jesus's position and the whole ordeal. It's a tongue and cheek examination of how only one who is perfect can do what Jesus did.
