I don’t typically disagree with you on anything, but Pink Floyd’s The Wall has a particular meaning that you might well support. It talks about the violence done to the innocence of children by adults in authority. The Wall is built by the child for protection against this violence, including the physical and emotional violence of teachers that was allowed in schools at that time, and thought-control, which we see even more today. The bricks are each incident and trauma that causes the child to close himself off from the world. The kids are very vulnerable in this fallen world. Would you agree?

This is for Phil, don't let money scare you brother, it's the LOVE of money that's the root of all evil. And as for the metaphor about the needle. There's a gate in Jerusalem called the Eye of the needle, it was short and narrow and to go through it they had to first unload the entire burden from the camel 🐪 and as well the animal must lower it's head to get through... It didn't say it's impossible, it says it's harder. The rich man needed to let go of his bonds to his money and submit to the Lord. You and you're family has been very openly Jesus first no matter what and from what I've seen y'all are pretty generous and show love to strangers. Matches what I see in Titus Phil. Much love to you and your family

Phil, i think that verse means that it is much harder to remain faithful, and dependant on God, when one is "rich". When we are poor, needy, without the things we need, we cling to the Lord tighter, we pray for our daily needs, when we Need Him more, we recognize that in weakness, in poverty. In wealth, it can be difficult to still "need" the Lord to fulfill our daily needs. Therefore not keeping up the relationship with Him, sometimes letting it go completely, not needing Him for our survival. What one who is "rich" fails to see, is that no matter how wealthy we are here on earth, it can all end in a snap. A relationship with God, humbleness, weakness... is still necessary to keep us grounded and aligned in our faith. Maybe that it is why He said it is so difficult for a rich man to get to Heaven... beacuse a rich man can easily forget how much he truly needs the Lord, needs to be dependent on the Lord, needs to obey and give as the Lord tells him to and remain humble, as a servant, bowing before the Lord in thanks. "Rich independence" can separate one from the Lord, as poverty and need almost always brings one closer to the Lord. Just a thought. Thank yall for all you do! We listen in our little shop every day! God bless yall!

Love the Robertson Family and have all of Phil's books except the last one, which is on order. I used to listen to Pink Floyd back in the 70's, but had something horrible happen back in 1972, and when I hear them today, those memories come flooding back, so no Pink Floyd allowed in my home. Weird how only Pink Floyd and old Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young also bring back those memories, so they are also no in my music library. Course, that was while I was serving also, so I am sure that had a lot to do with it. Oh well, Love the Robertson Family! God Bless you all!

Brothers in Christ, I may be the only listener seeing it this way, but here goes anyway... In love, no disrespect intended... my suggestion/request, despite the potential for mocking or attack, is this: 1.) More consistent Bible study *pointing people to Jesus.* (Especially allowing Phil to teach/preach uninterrupted while Al and Jase respectfully support Phil's lesson.) 2.) If you believe you must have commercials, please have them placed at the end of the podcast, *so someone getting ready to accept Christ in their heart, while listening/watching, isn't distracted and pulled away* and to not distract those of us looking to study and learn God's word from you. 3.) The Word/Truth/Jesus stands on His on two feet. Each episode, please explain: - *who Jesus is,* - *why we need Him,* and - *give an invitation for listeners to accept Christ in their heart* ...a kind of pull the chariot over moment, you know, or today is the day of your salvation moment. *It may be the first time someone is tuning in and the first time the gospel and invitation is heard and accepted.* 4.) Please don't carry the scripture study over into "Overtime". *Please allow God's message and lessons to be accessible to all,* including those not able to subscribe to Blaze TV. (Maybe use "Overtime" for bonus funny stories and such.) 5.) Please aspire to stay out of the proverbial weeds. Are you still in the Corinthians study? *It's such a blessing to be able to follow along with the Bible study and learn applicable lessons.* Will you all be getting back to that? I hope I was not too blunt. Typed in love and not intended to hurt, offend, or disrespect any of you. This was placed on my heart. It is truly wonderful each of you are bold and unashamed to try and share the gospel. *Please don't stop or lose sight of pointing people to Jesus. He is our only hope.* Thank you for hearing me out. Sincerely. *God Bless you all.*

Well said! Okay to get in the weeds now and then as long as you get back on the path - even if it's a narrow one. Keep the focus where it needs to be. Good point on the over-time, it feels like we're getting charged for the final 10 minutes of the movie.

I’m going to tell this story off the cuff because those who read this will look into it. With an undeniable moral of sharing, the parable of the long spoons encourages the nurturing of others as a means of nurturing ourselves. It's the ethic of reciprocity - aka the Golden Rule - in story form. In the exact same setting, one group perishes and one group thrives… all based on how they treat each other. Phil was trying to tell you something through his wisdom with age. We all struggle with the answers that already are known to the maker. But youth brings youth but you only understand that as we get older and see what the elder was saying.

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God. They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one. Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord? There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation. You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the Lord is his refuge. Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad. Psalms 14:1-7
@GoTellJesusSaves2 жыл бұрын
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. Romans 2:5-16

Hey y'all... just a couple points of clarification. Pink Floyd is the name of the band, NOT a person (although they named the band after an old blues singer) and The Wall was a concept album created by Roger Waters & despite the great comment from AND SHE'S GONE down below, the album was about Roger growing up without his father, who had been killed in World War 2, which furthered his feeling of alienation when he was in school. (I could post a huge rant about the dire need of PHYSICAL discipline nowadays, both at home & at school) Also "Highway to Hell" was AC/DC, not Judas Priest. Unfortunately, I never got to see Pink Floyd in concert & I'm only a marginal fan, but I sat thru The Wall movie 4 times in a row at the theater it's opening weekend. And I've seen AC/DC 4 times & Judas Priest 18 times. Perhaps... it's one of the reasons I'm so vexxed by the spirits of darkness 🤔🥺😢

How you going to read old wine or new wine, Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

Family tradition or no, it's still not right. It's being broadcast to the world and to be biblically sound he should show his father the respect due him. If I hsad done wsomething like that as a youngster one of my elders would have blessed me with the back of his hand and rightfully so.

Well the term one father is a debating to mention one for spirit father is easy to challenge which one are you believing. One father is copied by flesh and blood doesn't have one father being same one father, same with spirit you think was only one being all exactly that same one is funny.

That’s one of the beauties of God’s word. He gives you this picture of the work you’re doing and helps to intimately tie you into what He’s doing in and through you. When you read the parable of the sower the descriptions of ground are men’s hearts and so every time you’re “ministering” you’re working in the dirt of men’s hearts to cultivate and bring out the hidden value God sees in them. It’s like when Jesus said My words are Spirit and they are life everyone had a chance to receive His Spirit in their minds or to allow Him to fulfill Romans 12:2 as He speaks through His people and receive His Spirit that has the ability to change the hearts desires and cause the heart to come alive to God so love can flow through it rather than hate and wickedness. It’s a powerful thing God does through men who are willing to submit to that River that makes a man a wellspring of living water that dry dead hearts need for life if they’re willing to drink. It’s interesting because the year I was baptized in the Spirit I suddenly enjoyed watering my lawn and spending time by myself talking to the Lord and I noticed that if I watered my lawn right my soil held it and became like a sponge and soaked the water in deeply but didn’t become a muddy mess and my grass grew really beautiful but there was a time I had to fight through where the soil almost resisted the water. It would form a puddle on top that had to sit and slowly soak in and once I got it going I had to pay attention to the weather and make sure I watered it right so it didn’t dry out or become a muddy mess. It’s the same in my little garden. Every time I read about the temple in the Old Testament I see the work God wants to co-labor with men to accomplish in the Spirit. It gives a different perspective to John 3:16. It’s the beauty and value God sees in men. Even men see value in men but the wrong way. Leaders see value in men. That’s why Pharaoh didn’t want to let the Hebrews go. The only value he saw was in them building his kingdom but when God took the Hebrews out of Egypt He didn’t take them to build Him a kingdom like the rest of the nations. He wanted to have a family like in the Garden of Eden. It wasn’t His idea to have a great and mighty building. He wanted take care of them and love them in their tents and for them to become aware of Him in their tents and enjoy Him in their tents. Even in the hearts and minds of their tents. Can you imagine if they could have embraced the idea of God being in their tents and thought “Wow! He doesn’t just stay in that tent with Moses! He has to come in and listen to what we say and do in here.” He really wanted a people to be friends with and didn’t see Him as a harsh master who wanted to destroy them. Who knows what was hidden in much of that ground?

Alot of them are dying off too, it's sad to know that they might not know Jesus and are heading towards hell.
