Not only was this inspiring, you went to KMart & you have Munchkin!! A woman truly inspiring us all :) I'm looking forward to seeing your washi storage solution. I managed to overrun myself with washi & acrylographs for Christmas 2022 & now I need to store it all :) oops. The joy though is immense!! Watching you declutter definitely inspired me to get to work on my spaces. I sew, so my sewing area is a disaster. It's also in our living room, which I basically have taken over. I have lots of places to put big things, like fabrics, patterns, some haberdashery, sewing books, and the larger equipment. But much of the small items have nowhere to live. So that's the big thing. Plus I make beaded jewelry and all those little beads, etc, need places to live. I've never done a brain dump to help me declutter and organize, but it looks like it's a very good idea. I understand now that just making a list isn't necessarily the best way and doing the brain dump like you do actually looks more efficient and will, hopefully, help me focus in on what are the important things and what can wait. I also have ADHD which doesn't help with focusing, so I live in hope your system works for me. I'm so glad I found your channel. Happy New Year.

For cloth decluttering I have also have two bags, one called ‘donating’ and one called ‘rag’. I only put in the donating bag things I would be willing to buy in there current condition, I don’t know if cloth recycling is available everywhere but it is a great option for rag.

When I can’t afford to go to Kmart and I need containers for drawers and such, I use boxes like Archer & Olive, cover with plastic contact paper for wet areas.

Thank you for sharing. Our home is sorely in need of decluttering. The cardboard boxes in particular are a huge space hog. Looking forward to your office organization. One thing I have learned about myself is that a lot of the clutter comes from not having an assigned place for certain things.

Your home has so much built in storage. It's amazing. I'm over here crying into the one tiny closet that serves as the only storage closet in my whole teeny weeny duplex home. So, you basically combined both your channels in this one lol My house is cluttered af right now so I feel your pain and stress lol your office has way less cardboard than mine, but I have 14 prizes to pack up and ship out so that's kind of a decluttering of its own. You have all that wall/floor space open you could do shelves or drawers or a nice cabinet and then you won't have boxes on the floor. I'm fond of shelves because when I cant see things I forget they are there which is probably why I have 3 sets of the same ink joy pens. 🤣🤔 your bathroom drawers are awesome, you have no dead space under your sink! We have a big cabinet which is just cleaning stuff and then 3 small drawers crammed full because there's no where else to store the stuff. This was fun to see! Glad your house is in order for the new year!

I hate decluttering with husband and son as they dig into the bags and pull stuff out aaagh! Loving lists and definitely have to cover the grey (in my case). For your office, Ikea has drawers sets that can fit under a normal kitchen table. My parents use them to store spices and extra stuff. They are on wheels (don't remember if my dad added them or if they were standard tho) so we can move them around when they need more sitting space. For the make up why not set the goal to put on makeup during the weekend? Something realistic like one or 2 days of the week when you have time to put on makeup. Poor eyeshadows palettes in the trash 😭

Realistically the eye shadow was old enough that it was expired 😝 I always have to remind myself that these kinda things do have expiration dates, haha 😅 sadly we don’t have IKEA here, but I’ve got some other solutions on the way! 💪

@JashiiCorrin Tough question for you: Do you have any advice for someone who has gotten behind on monthly/yearly resets and is overwhelmed at how much they have to do? The pandemic + depression + chronic illness + being a caregiver for my parents have all coalesced in such a way that my physical space (my bedroom in particular) has taken a backseat and I have no idea where or how to start. (To be honest, I’m also not an excellent housekeeper/organizer to begin with!) People often say “Just start!” And it’s just not as easy as that. Plus, it’s only me. No partner or others to help. I know you can’t magically fix everything (and I’m sorry if asking you about this is too complicated) but if you or anyone else on the Team have any ideas, I’d love to hear them! 💜

Totally feel you on the "just start" advice; it's *technically* not wrong, but when you're overwhelmed, it's not that easy! When I'm overwhelmed with pretty much anything, I like to write a list 😋 I'm often not intimidated by long lists though, so I'm happy to slowly chip away at those, but if the long list scares you, I'd start with three tiny things you can do to move the needle in the right direction (e.g. "put dirty clothes in hamper" rather than "launder clothes"). Complete a task on the tiny list before adding another tiny step. When you only have three things to pick from, it gives you the freedom of choice but not the overwhelm of too much choice 💜

I literally never have lived in a space that has multiple bathrooms. En-suite bathrooms are not really a thing in most European households. Even the bigger family homes I know only have a (guest-)toilet on one floor and a full bathroom on the second floor.
