for the past 3 years, my bestie and I have done a "bookcation" - renting an air bnb in a city halfway between us (we live 7 hours apart) and spending the long weekend hanging out and reading. I highly recommend it.

Filling out the ADHD forms and not turning them in is the definitive ADHD test😂 I finally got diagnosed this year, one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Thank you for another great video.

As an ADHD form filler who took ages to hand it in, definitely hand it in! It’s so funny though that we procrastinate filling out an ADHD screening form as a ADHDer

Yep, as an adult-diagnosed ADHD person, I can testify that this is very ADHD 😂 I may have some passport renewal forms, completely filled out except for passport photo and check.... and they may have been filled out for over a year already.

With the get a will goal, you can break that down to a few different mini goals. There are different types of wills. I have a Power of Attorney, Healthcare Power of Attorney, Living Will, Estate Will, and a here's my Info 1/2inch binder (bank, car, house, medical, and other financial accounts listed out where they are, who is the beneficiary, who to contact there, etc.). This all took time to make and gather so each piece was a mini goal for me.

This is why it's best to hire a professional. I had an estate planning attorney do my mom's stuff as a precaution and it made it a breeze. John Terpin is great if anyone is looking for an estate planner 😅

For the journaling course, have you thought about setting it up with modules and the different types of journaling you mentioned (i.e.: reading journal, bullet journal, personal journal) could be modules? They you can have advanced modules where you go more in-depth/higher skill level/more difficult concepts?

8:10 as someone who was privileged enough to get tested and diagnosised as a female in the 90s, if that's not the most adhd thing right there 😅😂 sometimes, if the supports you have aren't going to change, is the formal diagnosis really going to provide you anything positive other than just "knowing"? My therapist has asked me this exact question about ASD

Jess, check in with your doctor re: the ADHD forms, I bet it'll be okay! Three questionnaire they give you (in the UK at least) isn't at all time sensitive, and boy oh boy does "i did half of this multi part task and then didn't finish it" sounds like an adhd moment...
@ClaireRousseau20 күн бұрын
Also, I would always put a tall like that in my to-do list as its component parts: fill the form, get others to fill the form, get it back to the doctors

I got my will written this year and it was easy and definitely good to get off my mind. I am writing up 12 goals each for books/movies/video games/crafting/cooking/travel and will be randomly picking 1 from each category each month. I probably will also have a list of random goals.

I *love* the decoration in this spread. I also love to fill my to dos with small things that I know I'm going to do, just for the reward of marking them done. I also add increments of things. For example, if one is "try a new ice cream flavor", an increment is "try 3 new ice cream flavors". It is a bit of a challenge but still manageable.

For meditation, I do stillness meditation. It's the only thing that quiets my thoughts. The idea is to be COMPLETELY still, as much as possible (you have to move to breathe, and movement disorders like tics don't count). You have to focus completely on your body, so you start to recognize tension and pain in a way you don't normally. You're not allowed to relax that tension, though, because that would mean moving, so when you're done meditating, your whole body relaxes as much as your mind. And the best part? Doing it for only 1 minute provides more benefit to me than 10 minutes of guided meditation.

If you want an easy plant to propagate take a cutting of a jade plant (even a decent sized leaf usually works) coat the open stem in honey and stick it in damp compost (any will do but it does prefer well draining) and leave it. Bottom water when needed and it does everything else for you. I have so many propagations on the go I'm running put of room 🤣🤣 xx
@EnabiSeira20 күн бұрын
A neightbour gave a cutting of jade plant to my mother like 10 years ago. At first my mother thought it wouldn't survive (by the time she planted it it was getting brown), but it got so big you could hug it. Every summer it looked like dying but it survived everything. So agree, it is easy to care for and can survive at direct sun with no much water.

I also did the 101 things for 2024, quickly realized I wasn't going to come up with the entire list before the year started, and just made one of my things "finish the list" 🤣 I wound up giving myself a couple months to figure out the last 30 or so, which wound up being good as new and unexpected things popped up that I was able to incorporate. I decided to do the same thing for 2025, although a good portion of it is copied over from last year now that I have a sense of how to go about it, but I've still got a dozen or so to fill in.

You always have such innovative and creative ideas! Goal is wellness/self-care like spending more time in nature, drinking more water, and walking workouts! Simple joys like stargazing, watching sunrise/sunset, listening to birds, watching cat videos, listening and dancing to music on the radio, and reading poetry like from Morgan Harper Nichols! I have been watching self-care videos on KZbin like Diane in Denmark video 3 ways I organize our Danish home - hygge baskets, where she talks about having a self-care basket, reading basket, and snack basket, Cozy K videos about cozy hobbies, and Mariane Cresp video how to use a self-care/break list, where she talks about 3 types of breaks. Finding routines like morning, evening, weekend routines, for example, in Cozy K video Cozy Home vlog an actually restful day, she showed her weekend itinerary template. I like that idea!

Thanks for the suggestions of videos that sound really interesting. I started learning about hygge last year about this time and I discovered Cozy K a month or so ago. I will have to try to find the weekend itinerary video and some of these others sound really interesting too!

Do you have a separate journal where you keep all your yearly set goals lists? That seems to be a better organization process.
@JashiiCorrin17 күн бұрын
I have a few places that I organise my goals: 1. A goal planner - a spot to brainstorm, select, and plan out my goals in full 2. Yearly collections journal (in this video) - layouts to record things I want to work on in any given quarter (like a summary page) and the 52 goals in 52 weeks that we have in this video 3. Everyday journal - layouts to pull out action steps from my goal plans so that I have them readily available for my day-to-day planning 😊 Hope that makes sense!

Hi Jess, I must confess I'm often too confused with your lists 😅 Perhaps you have already explained, but can you say again what's the difference between 101 things (or 52 in 52) and Future me problems and 25 25s in 2025? As I'm noting down everything that I want in my Nujo and Yearly collection, I always think of the same things to put in those lists! Do you have a guiding question/ theme to differenciate one from another? I enjoy a lot your content and I'm one of the new subscribers of your newsletter ❤
@JashiiCorrin20 күн бұрын
My general separation is: - 25 25s: small things to do repeatedly - 101 things / 52 in 52: little goals, things that I'm excited about, or have been putting off. Similar to "Future me problems" but more likely to get done - Future me problems: mostly things that come up in daily life that I'm like "🤔 I'd like to do that at some point, but not right now". Haven't been selected as goals for the year. Typically not "fun" tasks (might be boring, time consuming, or just not exciting in general)

I’ve gotten help with my ADHD this year and it was the BEST decision I’ve ever made! I pushed it off for so long, because ADHD obviously, but getting help has brought sooo much joy and normalcy into my life. Your videos have actually helped me a lot with my ADHD this year as well🥹💕 realizing I can find planning strategies that work for my brain has been massive.
