Very informative interview. Irfan Habib is a great scholar. One thing I would like to point out, though, is that “zauf-e-badan” ضعفِ بدن (at 36:55) does not really break the izafat rule. “Badan” here is the Persian word بدن meaning “body” and not the Sanskrit derived बदन (from वदनम्) meaning face. Probably a slip of tongue.

Some facts on history of islam and sindh, (part 1) a. It is said at the time of death prophet mohammed was suffering from poisoning in food. the muslims blamed it on jews. But everyone knows Aiysha was his favorite he ate at her place. Muslim dont talk about the death of prophet mohd by poisoning. b. During the Farewell Sermon, also known as Muhammad's Final Sermon or the Last Sermon, is believed by Muslims to have been delivered by the Islamic prophet, Muhammad on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 10 AH in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat, during the Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj. In this final sermon which was attended by 10000 people (in todays count this would be like 1 million people) the prophet announced his successor as his son in law Ali. He asked Umar and Abu Bakr to support him, Umar has in this very sermon promised to support Ali, but soon after this the 1st caliph Abu Bakr and the 2nd caliph Umar hatch out a plan. To poison Mohammed and to take control of the Zakat funds after death of the prophet. b. After Prophet mohammed died abu bakr (father of the 7 year old Aiysha) forcefully became 1st caliph of Islam . But fatima the daughter of prophet mohammed did not accept him as caliph, so abu bakr sent the 2nd caliph Umar to visit her. He came and burned the house of the prophets daughter Fatima and he is the one who pushed fatima which caused her abortion. This is not a fiction it is mentioned in sahi bhukhari and sahi muslim but muslim pretend to turn a blind eye to this. c. When prophet mohammed was alive he had treaties with all his neighbours, then moment prophet mohammed died all the treaties with neighbours were broken or lets just say violated (disrespecting prophet mohammed treaties) and this is how the caliphate was expanded by the very people who hijacked islam or killed the prophets family. d. Before prophet mohammed died he had announced his successor, yet when prophet mohd died there was a power struggle. e. The reign of each of the caliphs did not last long, there was a rebellion within 20 days of Abu Bakr announcing himself as caliph. It is said that when the prophets family was being persecuted then they got refuge and shelter from a hindu king called raja dahir. it is said that Imam hussain wife shahrbanu’s sister (daughter of a persian king) was married to a hindu gupta king so they were relatives. Hence the family was going to hindustan as a Hindu king gave refuge to the family of prophet Mohammed, when they were escaping persecution in Arabia. i, It is well known fact that hejaj bin yusuf governor of Iraq had killed 4 companions of prophet, yet muslims call mohammed bin qasim as their hero knowing very well that mohammed bin yusuf was only a general appointed by yusuf bin hejaj. The orders to attack actually came from hejaj bin yusuf.. yet muslims call muhammad bin qasim as their hero. j. It is well known fact that Raja Dahir had given shelter in Sindh to a well-known follower and family of Imam Hussian, Muhammad Bin Allafi?a man much sought by the Umayyad in their deadly hunt for eliminating the last of the Ahl-e-Bait (Prophet Muhammad?s immediate family). That, according to some very believable sources, Dahir had even offered asylum to Hussain ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, who was being persecuted by other muslim at home. That as a result of this offer, Hussain was on his way to Sindh when he was seized at Karbala in Iraq and killed most viciously. Yet muslims ignore this truth and create false stories about him. k. If is well known fact that the gupta king wife and Imam hussain wife shahrbanu were sisters yet muslims ignore these facts when I say hindus were related to Imam hussain family. l. Rajab dutt and his 7 sons and several hindus died in battle of karbala yet muslims ignore these facts. In subsequent battle ghaznavi kille the entire dutt village. m. Sanatan dharma has been looking after interest of good muslims from the beginning of islam religion, we have been always compassionate to muslims but the same is not happening in Pakistan and Bangladesh where not only hindus have been exterminated but even minority muslims right are being suppressed. n, It was hindustan where a hindu king build the earliest mosque in 7th century (631, while prophet mohd was still alive ) so that the arab traders could rest and pray. It was prophet mohd who said that mujhe hindustan se dandi hawa aati hai but muslims ignore these facts and partitioned pakistan from India (hindustan). j, after the killing of prophets family and Imam Hussain in arabia, mohammed bin qasim was sent to capture the family members of prophet mohd / Imam hussain who had taken refuge with hindu king. He was sent to kill or bring them back alive. Mohammed bin qasim succeeded in killing raja dahir who as per persian book chacha nama fought valiantly , he was sindhi king. many sindhi girls including raja dahir daughter taken as slaves to iraq. But raja dahir girls were very clever they took revenge of death of their father in a witty way causing death of mohd bin qassim, this is also written in centuries old persian book called chahchnama. k. Meanwhile mohammed bin qasim defeated by raja rawal , ( the name rawal pindi is given due to raja rawal victory of mohammed qasim) . sindh was home to sindhis. muhammad bin qsim was forced to retreat but meanwhile the governor of iraq died and there was a change and in his place came another governor. raja dahir daughters who were very clever told the king we are not suitable for you as mohd bin qasim already rape us, so governor of iraq was angry due to ego, he order mohammed qasim to be brought in his darbaar. his men put mohd in qasim in a camel skin and locked him in a box brought him to baghdad but he died out of suffocation. l, in total the army of muslims attacked 21 times before mohammed bin qasim they were defeated and sent back alive only the 21st time they were defeated and the problem with hindus no other hindus came together they were too busy fighting each other so when external enemy came he took advantage of the division among hindus. In history we always defeated due to not being united this time again if hindus will not unite external enemy will get better of us. j sindhis were affected in sindh and islamic wars many daughters were made slaves and sons killed, then many opf them went to padmavati husband kingdom in rajasthan, then when he was attacked. king made the business community all sindhi business community run away from tunnels, we ran back to thatha and other parts of sindh. But the bollywood is glorifying allauddin khilji funding coming from pakistan/arabs who knows where.for movies . k. sikh gurus gave their and their children life to protect hindus. congressis and sickulars use to tease sardars...sardarji 12 baj gaye kya It is at 12 the sardars use to attack mughals to release hindu girls who were captured by moghals ...think again when saying sardarji barah baj gaye it means he was the one to protect the hindu girls at 12. j, khiljis were the ones who burned hindu libraries in nalanda and tasksheela. 1000s of books were tajen to arab lands and translated from sanskrit to arabic using our own people. this discoveries from the book led to golden age of the arabs, then these books when to europe after translation. k. Greek called us Indes, from there we got name India. were as persians use to call us hindos from there we were called hindus, note hindu is not a word in geeta or vedas, it is a forien word. can you imagine how much persecution of mothers that they did not teach religion to children for 800 years for fear of daughter being raped or sons being killed this lead to superstitions in hindus. hindus paid jizya tax for not following islam. but 800 years of mughals were like ISIS congress hides all this did not put any hindu history in our school history books. moghals were mongols who killed millions of arabs, then were brainwashed to convert to islam then diverted to hindustan. this is just summary how we are linked with prophet of islam and the history of islam. no muslims will say this cause, of point F. all of them follow uthman quran. Indian muslims be happy you are in India not in pakistan.

He is an atheist not a Muslim and he has no political agenda. We all know it. He was not trying to divide, or cause hatred for votes. He doesn’t like extremism in any form. I am a Muslim and totally disagree with his views on religion but have great respect for him as a historian and person of knowledge. I believe that’s how it should be. We should all agree to disagree but with respect and no way should we hate people with differing views. Differences should be issue-based and not personality-based. No two people can have the exactly the same views on all subjects. But hatred has no place in a civilised society.

The mention of Indraprastha is found in scriptures. It is mentioned with the incident of Mahabharat and Kaurava and pandavs. Nothing is found in the scriptures about the architecture, governance , daily lives or language of common people at that time. Indraprastha is not found in any historical document or archaeological sites. The reason could be that it is a very old times. But historians can only talk based on historical documentation and archaeological evidence. From Sanskrit sources he found the name dheli and he described how dheli beacame dilli later on.

Even though, they are living in India, one cannot find any hindu connect or references in their talks. Cynicism towards Hindu systems and people and great appreciation of other country( in this case Persia and their language) in discussion is part and parcel of these experts.
