A direct descendant of Guru Baba Nanak’s disciple Bhai Sadharan, Bhai Baldeep Singh descends from a long lineage of GurSikh masters of the Gurbani Kirtan maryada, and today is its 13th generation exponent.
To commemorate 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Bhai Baldeep Singh - a reviver of the nearly-extinct Gurbaṇi Sangita tradition who has also revived various assets from the kalami (written), tantri (audio-visual) and, zubani (memorised), will throw light on how Guru Nanak’s teachings offer comfort to restless hearts and the way his emphasis on enlightenment and spiritual growth captured the minds of poets over the ages.

it is clear Bhai Baldeep Singh ji is a modern-day bhagat of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Nowadays, most Sikhs only pride themselves on being Jatts. Some don't even follow the tenets of Sikhism, and still add Singh/ Kaur behind their name. Ki banu duniya da? Some have not even read one word of Guru granth Sahib ji..let alone sang bani the way it is actually supposed to be sung. Forgive me, but the state of today's Sikh is indeed pitiful from my perspective. I' ll take solace in the fact that people like Bhai Baldeep Singh ji exist.

ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਕੇ ਲੋਇਣ ਦੰਤ ਰੀਸਾਲਾ ॥ Beauteous are Thy eyes and relish giving Thy teeth. ਅਰਥ: ਤੇਰੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ ਨੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੀਲੇ ਦੰਦ, ਸੋਹਣੇ ਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਲੰਮੜੇ ਵਾਲਾ ॥ Thou art the Lord, who hast graceful nose and long hair. ਅਰਥ: ਨਕ ਸੁਨੱਖਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਕੇਸ। ਕੰਚਨ ਕਾਇਆ ਸੁਇਨੇ ਕੀ ਢਾਲਾ ॥ Cast in gold, Thy body is precious. ਅਰਥ: ਸਰੀਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੁੱਧ ਅਰੋਗ ਹੈ, ਸੋਵੰਨ ਢਾਲਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਮਾਲਾ ਜਪਹੁ ਤੁਸੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਹੋ ॥ Cast in gold is His body, with a rosary like that of Krishna. Meditate thou on Him, O my mates. ਅਰਥ: ਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ-ਮਾਲਾ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰੋ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀਓ ਸਖੀਓ!
