Funny how the other bass drum is just for "show". He's using a double pedal.

Many drumers use it this way since tunninng and micing is easier. It seems like 2 bass drums just round the setup more asthetically and double pedals do have clamps for the left pedal as well.

It's also a spare bass drum. In case you destroy one, you cna simply switch to the other instead of having to put on a new head :)
