What an amazing mother, woman, human. Jasmine’s academic, physical and social / community beliefs and credentials reflect a world I want my children to grow up in. Thank you for a great interview Gary. 🙏

An excellent interview Gary. You’re probably the best person to interview Jasmin, and it really shows, two icons of the Barkley’s shooting the breeze, what a privilege (in my opinion Gary, you completed the Barkley). You two give me a lot of inspiration to keep hitting the hills through horrible illness and having a disabled kid that needs 24 hr care. These achievements and stories help me throw on a pair of muddy trail shoes and bring me back to life in the hills. Thank you.

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼!! Thanks Gary (and thank you for talking to Jared regarding loop 5! 😂)! This is the best interview either Jasmin yet, because of the unique perspective you have. Much love to you!

Another great interview. Gary you should do the same interview format with the deep roster of local runners. I am sure many near and far would love to hear their “why”, training tips, and adventures.

Wonderful listening to the story unfolding in just a nature way. Great interview and chat. Chapeau Jasmin. A phenomenal performance that was history retold. Amazing.

Wonderful interview! Thank you! Jasmin, you are an inspiration! 🥹 You have given me hope that maybe there’s a strength in me too that I haven’t tapped into. I have lost my strength and power the last few years and have felt quite discouraged. You give me hope that I can be strong again. You are the coolest girl ever!

That's just about the best interview I've ever watched. The absolute joy and crazy glint in your eyes was superb. I wonder if Konrad will have a go at Barkley...

Thanks Gary, great interview with fantastic questions! Your Barkley experience and you being there brings out the best interviews! Your perspective will be missed from next Barcleys editions!

Absolutely brilliant interview @Gary Robbins, thank-you!!!!! Your unique perspective having been both out on course before as well as in camp this year facilitated your asking the in-depth and interesting questions that no one else has asked (and you've done this across ALL your interviews for this 2024 Barkley); all of which were very interesting both to consider and to hear the answers. We won't have interviews of this quality again, at least not anytime soon ;-)

I'm not from a fell running/ultra running background at all but jasmin's achievement has completely captured my admiration. What a legend. I can only imagine how inspirational this story would be for women & young girls. What a hero. P.S: Bought a spray called 'smidge that midge' which is specifically designed for the horror that is scottish midges. Worked great on my mountain biking trip to the scottish lowlands. Worth a try if you are going there as most bug sprays don't work for scottish midges that are special type of evil! Haaa haaa.

A special hour long (longest on the channel to date, I believe) interview with a special lady! Loved it. Thanks, Gary! When she described her midnight hill repeats through down pour and snow, before she took her kids swimming (in local reservoir?) on a snowy, but beautiful, morning at 10am, I couldn’t help but wonder what a superwoman and family this is. Most people would stay home when it snows outside.

Great job on this interview, and all of your Barkley interviews, Gary. This was the best Jasmin interview I listened to (no offense to Singletrack or Freetrail but it was better than theirs because of your personality and unique perspective). Your other Barkley interviews with Ihor, John and Jared were also the best interviews I heard from any interviewer! Cheers from Newfoundland

Love Jasmin's response about the suggestion or question that you don't get anything from Laz when you finish Barkleys... what could be greater than completing Barkley? "A medal ... That would be laughable". Absolutely and we can all take a lot from this comment when taking part in events and races. Finishing the event etc should be enough!

My question was did Jasmine know how close to the cutoff she was.. answer: not really. I guess the race watches were hard to read, like she said, and also there wasn't extra energy to spare a check. Amazing accomplishment; the mental toughness required to get a finish is beyond belief.

@@GaryRobbins From arial photos the hills look to be similar size to the UK Lake District (highest Scafell 964m). So I was expecting something like that. Thanks for replying. Watched all your 2024 interviews - excellent.
