I lived across the river in Lydney when it was busy making plywood sheets with the timber brought up by barge from Bristol docks. The tug with several barges in tow and coming up with the tide, some times the last barge would be abeam the tug in a horse shoe shape. Now everything is closing down and Sharpness is seeing a lot less ship traffic. Hence the poor state of the timber breakwater. Thank you for posting and jogging my memories.

Another lovely video :-) I can remember walking over the walkway on top of the lock gates in Preston when I was a child; there was a railing on only one side and it scared the cr*p out of me! Thanks for the film, Tim

@@henrytimpson8880 hi thank you she came from KLAIPEDA [LT] and brought in fertilizer (according to the app) but there was so much grain on the road it made me wonder.
