FACTS: As a former legal assistant working for Immigration Services in NY, the children were separated from their parents - the children were not added to the riders of the alien registration numbers (normal course) for families. Some instances, children were separated (within 2-weeks and placed on an airplane) and brought to NY and placed in shelters. The Trump administration did separate the immigrate families. It broke my heart when I saw the files of minors who had been separated from their parents!
