This song makes me cry it reminds me of my abuelo he was a family man, farmer, WWII vet, worked at a factory and farmed full time but he always made time for all of us. It wasn't a hail storm in 83 but a drought in 88 that I remember most praying for rain. We got to work along side him it was tough but taught me to be strong. We even got T shirts that said I survived the drought of 88 at the end and had a decent harvest.

Sounds like he was one helluva guy. I have a family friend who in 2021 who lost everything because of the drought in Washington State. They had to default on all of their farm equipment and the home. The farm had been in his family since 1859 when his ancestors emigrated there from Indiana. The bank took everything. They were left homeless. It would've cost them more to restart than it would have to just relocate. He, his wife and 3 daughters. He felt so guilty, like he had failed his family and his family history. Sometimes no matter what, you can't plan for every outcome. He was gonna leave the farm to his girls, too. He bounced back tho, and they now live in the Florida Panhandle and he's a cattle ranch foreman 😊

18 years of my life, dedicated to the military...lost dozens of friends, family, and animals over the years. Broken body, broekn Heart, broken soul....I said: "ENOUGH!" And with Jesus' sweet sacrifice in mind, I learned to move forward, to my destiny, of which I have no control. Its okay to be sad. Its okay to cry. But never grow weak or lazy. Even if you have to learn how to walk again, DO IT. Learn that new dance. Like that new thing, get on your feet and keep trying to find love and happiness again.

Too bad most of my country is pro russian and hates america. But yeah, i play country music, i listen to it, and i love it. Cannot listen to serbian music, it is god awful. You should see the looks people give me when they see me wearing tony lamas 😂 it is priceless. Hope to move there one day.

@ashley1994 I was just trying to appreciate farmers. I love that mothers do what they do. Farmers feed the country. Thank God for farmers. I have never had to slaughter a cow or till land. God is the life source and he provides all to make this happen. It's okay to make a connection with hard working farmers and the miracle of God without starting an argument about preachers and how they might be closest in proximity to living christ personified. Farmers are great. Thank God for farmers. Mothers are great. Thank God for their nurturing. Preachers are here and there. Thank God for the good ones.

Who cries and whines more teachers or farmers? 🙄
@MikaelaRae176 ай бұрын
Have you been in either profession? Farmers: literally at the mercy of unpredictable weather. Super important job. Food just doesn’t show up in the grocery store. Teachers: Saints. They get to see our children just as much as us and are shaping our children’s minds. You couldn’t pay me enough to teach twenty 5-year olds. I have one and it’s exhausting enough. Both have incredibly important jobs in society and not enough credit is given. If my daughter’s teacher said she needed anything, I would give whatever because I’m that grateful: school supply list, Amazon Wish List, holiday gifts, anything. I am a city woman who works corporate jobs, but give credit where credit goes is due. Farmers and teachers deserve our gratitude.
