My grandfather used to be a farmer. Had all John Deere tractors. A 4440, 4640, 6600 Combine, 2240, and a 4020. We played this song at his funeral 4 years ago. RIP 11-11-38, 12-26-16 Age 78. His gravestone features a pic of a 4020

This song has made me tear up every one of the hundreds of times ive heard it. My family lost the farm in mississippi when my grandad passrf and right after my dad was sent to Iraq back to back deployments. I wish things were different daily but when God has other plans you never complain or ask why. Just feel blessed to see another day with your family. Love this song!!

My daddy worked from sun up til sun down when I was a kid. His hands, his arms, his elbows, were bleeding profusely. He didn't care. He wrapped them in silver duct tape and kept working. He farmed every day of his life, as did my Grandpa. I don't know any other way to live, other than work hard and get what you want/need. My father instilled in me values that can NEVER be replaced, or even found nowadays. God Bless our farmers!

This song reminds me so much of my boyfriend, he is a farmer and I help him out everyday. It's not easy being a farmer because they get up at 4 a.m. and they don't go to bed until mid night. They have deadlines for everything and they need to get it all done. They don't slack on anything. So you should give them props for trying their hardest on everything.

This song has always hit real close to home for me. I had to take over if I wanted to farm, because my dad quit farming with the drought of 1988 and because of FHA. I was only 18 then it’s been a hard long struggle every since with floods, droughts, and cheap grain prices with higher input costs. The worst of it was losing my best friend and mentor to cancer in 2015 I miss you dad every day! God bless the American Farmer.

If you pass by any farmer, military, emergency personnel, or just a fellow American, it isn't tough to offer a "Thank you." They all sacrifice more than they allow to show through. Thank you to all the farmers out there working their asses off for us to feed America. When I was teaching in small towns I would drive to and from the schools I worked in and I always saw the farmers working from dawn to dusk and beyond in all weather conditions! I always said a prayer for all of them to be safe and healthy and asking God to help them be successful. I salute all those farmers and all the other farmers here in the USA feeding America. Thank you!

Grew up and take of old farmers now. I love the lyric “Lord, I never complain I never ask why please don’t let my dreams to run dry.” even though God knows I always complain and always ask why, it makes me feel something powerful. Because I always beg God to never let my dreams to run dry. I have faith in that. I love farmers for their determination even through hard times…and their cozy homes lol

It's been a long while since I last heard this song, but it (and Fly Over States) just resonates with me right more now than ever. It makes me rethink me being able to visit a friend of the family's farm every year when I was a kid (whose house was painted purple no less) from just a nice road trip to a LUXURY due to with all the stuff I got to do at that farm (such as ride in the John Deere combine). While I never will get to thank Roger Howe and his daughter Tama for letting us do such due to the former passing away several years ago and having gotten out touch with the latter even after attending the funeral, I am nonetheless in tears right now. While I've lived in the city almost my entire life, I'm still thankful for having been born and raised in the US state of Iowa, which is one of the main producers for beef, pork, chicken, corn, and dairy product for the US. Without farms, there's no cheeseburgers, pork ribs, fried chicken, eggs, or steak. It also means no chocolate milk, icecream, custard, donuts, croissants, and most importantly to many of you, NO BACON (though personally I prefer ham & cheese sandwiches). So the next time you enjoy your meat or baked good of choice, please, thank your farmers, they are as deserving of a little time and/or a personal thank you as much as the soldiers who put their lives on the line to keep to you safe are.

It’s amazing that we have a man that actually sings the truth and sheds light on the criminals ! And as soon as he does everything he sings about is contested by media, and the politicians . Speaks volumes because if they take punches at him they would squish most like bugs . All for him being honest and sympathetic to the most important people on our planet .( THE FARMERS)

I grew up farming. I saw my grandparents work until they died, my dad as well. By the time I was old enough to keep the farm, taxes, ice storms, drought, and government regulations had taken it all. The lessons I learned young in life have made me successful today. I always feel a pull towards nature though. On the 8th day...God made a farmer.

My family had to sell the last one in the family about 10yrs ago, now I'm lost, my entire happiness was this, I thought I never miss the feeling of being put through the ringer as much as do, trades work is good but nothing beats being up on that damn old Ford tractor. Not to mention always fighting with the oil leaks, still remember what everyone said, was hoping it was gonna get passed to me but I was always told it'll only get worse from here, think it's hard and bad now you haven't seen the worst to come. I honestly didn't care, I wanted it, I wanted the challenge. The respect I have for farmers still working is so deep I couldn't know where begin my thanks for everything so I'll simply say this. Thank you for taking care of my family.

@JassonAldeanmusic love that Jason Aldean is teaming up with ( us vets from 911,hero) toby keith, coming back from the " almost dead" but not gone, nor forgotten, as we in the military,( those who had any sense, who served after 911, and other wars) in a small town, and in the military, we take care of business,of our own.the many great inspirational songs of Toby's, ( all American, American oldier) and Jason's many great songs about hard working people across the usa who never had anything hand3d to them, unlike the gen z,who expect respect, not earned, everything handed to them, ,can't handle adversity, criticism, or hard work.too much radicalization, ignorance ( like libs, dems supporting hamas terrorists, in congress,we need to send them to iran, see how much they will support hamas then when they are thrown in iranian prisons, tortured

Such a tremendous metaphor for all of us who still work for a living. Every day, we climb up on that tractor and go another round. Whether it's delivering another package, grading another stack of papers, or talking to another customer, all of us Americans are pulling them plows across the ground . . . and sending up another prayer while we're at it. God bless us, everyone!

The current dairy crisis in the U.S. makes this song ring home. I have watched all the dairy farms in my city in Western MA close and am both honored and saddened to say that I helped the last dairy farmers in my city with hay and some other chores as a kid. If nothing is done to change the situation the landscape of rural America will tragically change forever

The first song I heard of Jason's. I've been a fan ever since. When I was 3 years old I was in the backseat while my mom was driving and my grandmother was in the passenger seat and I sang this song over and over again constantly for the 20 mile drive back home. Now I'm 17 and a senior in high school. My grandmother's not around anymore to see me graduate high school like she always hoped she would be, but I still like to listen to this every now and then and reminisce.
