His capo is on the wrong fret???? is he even playing..
@DFWJon2 жыл бұрын
How can you tell that his capo is placed on the wrong fret? I thought that capo placement was dependent on the singers tone. I am genuinely curious as I have been pittling around with guitars for years but I cannot play a whole song to save my life. I can play a ton of snippets but nothing that anyone would want to hear while sitting amongst friends at a campfire, if you will. I would absolutely love to be able to play better and do whole songs just with strumming the rhythm part of a song. I just don’t have the patience. I would love to be able to play halfway as good as say, Vince Gill. Lol. Never in a million years could I play like that. I’m 44 and he has 40 years of playing on me easily. Plus his talent level is a rarity. Anywho, bad to the capo, I just always thought it was based on the singers voice and where the singer registers with any particular song. Clearly I am incorrect. Please tell me what I am missing. Thanks in advance. Oh and speaking of “if he is even playing”. That reminds me of the KING… ol’ George Strait himself. He always fingers the chords but never strums the guitar. Guess he thought he looked good standing there singing with his guitar. I’m sure he can play but why he usually doesn’t is beyond me. I think it’s more so evident with him than anyone else, ever!!! You’re thoughts on that??? Thanks again and sorry my comment is so long.

Also, on a side note, after watching the video I did notice that the guitar player on the left has his capo one fret higher on the neck than that of Jason Aldean AND the guitar player on the left isn’t singing, NOR DOES HE EVEN HAVE A MICROPHONE, so I guess that would eliminate my thought on the capo placement depends on the tone of the person signing. Lol.

Jason probably tunes his guitar a half step down for Eb which would explain the capo on the 3rd. Not unusual for many baritone male singers.

Thanks to Aldean, he showed me that you don't need any skills to be a popular singer.
