One of three brothers that always played an sat for hours jamming out . I was an am a bass player . Im the youngest . An sadly the oldest passed a little over a year ago. But the other thats still here? He plays like this guy in this video . Ive played this for him and he sat down an picked up on it . I love listening to him play . Hes 70 now an has lost his other of 51 yrs a while back . Thank u for putting this up . Its helped me encourage him to pick his guitar back up . Talent is a gift u should never side step . @@JohnnyOFarrell ive seen an been around a lot of musicians that play and preform infront of a lot . And more that find their solitude in a dirty garage too. And ive had so many ask how do u know what keys to go to an when to change them. And how do u come up with the licks or beat to flow through a song? How can one explain that ? Its basically hearing in ur mind what u want to do an need to do as u play. Its to me like uve entered into a world of peace that at times makes the hair stand up on the back of ur neck an fills ur eyes up from the emotion that overwhelms ur heat an soul . Its like being possessed by a spirit of tranquil love touching ur heart in a way i have no words to describe. That spirit guides ur fingers as the sound resonates through ur being as it projected through that stringed instrument . And time is something like a worm hole transporting u to hours in the future u arrive at wondering where the last 5 ,6, hoursor a day went to. To me its what heaven must feel like because its a total peace filled with moments in time that stand still. If i had to explain it in words? Thats the closest i can find.

I think that Aldean did a great job on this song but the lyrics really hit home for with anyone who misses someone that is never coming back and I guess does not want to admit that the loss hit hard. As good as the original is I think this version takes it to another level and seeing and hearing the person that came up with this incredible tune makes the lyrics even more real. His voice adds to the song in a very positive way and not like some songs where someone else sings and it just adds another voice but does not raise the song to another level. I need to listen to his other songs but given how great this one is I am sure I will find a great talent that must have spent too long in the background. At least for me as I had no idea that he wrote this tune.

Rich Redmond is the best . I saw Aldean when hicktown first came out at my local farmers market and Rich made a bongo sound like an entire kit. Years later when the truth came out I saw them in the civic center with Luke Bryan and he had a whole set and played the hell out of it and to me absolutely stole the show Also he is one of the only famous people who will absolutely always answer comments on Facebook KZbin and even as far back as MySpace

I met John Morgan at a fancy occasion in downtown Knoxville. Everyone was drinking champagne except John and I. We were the only ones in the room with cowboy boots sitting on a cooler drinking beer 😂. I was just starting my business and he was telling me he was starting to get in the studio.
