People say the courthouse is controversial. ALSO From the same history of the Maury County Courthouse: On June 15, 1904, the ground was broken for the new building. The cornerstone was set a few months later on October 8th by Dick Porter, a man estimated to be over 120 years of age. As a slave, he worked on the two previous courthouses in 1808 and 1846. Now, as a free man, he was selected to lay the first trowel of mortar on the cornerstone.

If a person wants to find negativity, they're going to find it a lot of places around this country. Yes even in the big cities where there is sidewalk stained with blood from people choosing to kill one another over colors, areas that drugs are sold in prostitution is ran. I live in Dayton, Ohio and there are many small towns around here that have that true feeling of that. It's like going back in time with the way things are. When that stuff happened the summer of 2020 a few busses showed up about 20 minutes from here and there were 700+ locals armed and ready to go. Those fools got right back on their bus and took off never to return. That is what Jason is talking about.

If that is what you think I am promoting you are dead wrong. Look at Martin Luther King. He had an actual peaceful million man march to D.C. and his cause got recognized. George Floyd actually died from an overdose and he was on the ground with the cop on him because he was acting out and had just robbed a liquor store. Media stoked the fire under that one in order to push an agenda. Take time to look at the true facts before you jump on the hate bandwagon. All Jason was saying, if you have violence issues, don't be acting a fool and bring it into my town. I totally agree with that. What good has violence ever done but breed more violence

First, I am so glad you are back. Missed you so much. You give me joy when I need it. I love your reaction to this. I grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. The big city. For the last 20 years have been living in a small town in South East Ohio. More cows than people. lol Couple months ago.. I will just say.. "people tried to come and pop off." Yeah, didn't work out well for them. Our town won't put up with that stuff. We protect eachother. Not blood, but our town is a FAMILY!!

Work has taken me to many major cities (LA, San Fran, Chicago, Boston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, New Orleans, the list goes on) and we lived for a decade in the Atlanta area. Now back home in the Midwest and very content. Just as folks in the cities want to live their lives their way, they need to allow others to do the same.

Love this song... I saw a short video on KZbin the other day about a tree falling and blocking the road. Within minutes a couple of guy's pulled out chainsaws. Other motorist helped drag away the fallen tree unblocking the road. They didn't wait for city/county crews. Just people doing what needed to be done...LOVE this SONG.....

Raised in a small town I’ve been to cities as large as Los Angeles, NYC, Dallas, Kansas City, Houston, and San Diego. Every one of those large cities say the same thing about their neighborhood, district, or suburb. It’s taking care of your neighborhood and the people that live there. Take ing care of your family, friends, or neighborhood. After living in cities since 1991-2013. I moved to a town 15 miles from 2 town with less than 1000 people, 45 minutes from medium size cities, 2 hours from 3 large cities. What is the same is most want to help the needy

I moved to Austin TX..when covid happened had to come back to the small town I'm from to help friends and family....that unity in small communities..it's a thing ..from who's next door or down the street we got eachother

I was born in small town Georgia, traveled the world, now in my older age (67) back in small town Mississippi. We have to see turmoil on the TV to see any. Everyone is just living together really in Peace. Certainly no riots, burning of businesses, etc, like the summer of 2020 in many cities across the country! And no fear of it happening.

Country people are the best. Although we lived in the 'burbs of Houston, I spent most of my summers at Grannie's out in the boon docks. That was the best childhood. I'm still in the 'burbs of Houston, but as far out as I can get. LOL. This song rings true about small towns and country people. They are always there to help each other. It has nothing to do with race. It's about how you are raised.
