GYPSY TALES PODCAST

Күн бұрын

This past weekends San Diego round of Supercross sparked some of the most controversy the sport has seen in recent memory when Jett Lawrence confronted one of the sports veterans Jason Anderson for a post race helmet grab. Anderson was unhappy with what followed and took to Instagram to speak his mind, opening a hug can of worms in the process. We recorded this podcast Thursday night to set the record straight...

At 59 years old, I got back into Moto because of Haiden Deegan, so I started listening to your podcasts also, and I just found my 450 guy that I’ll be pulling for. That dude is an awesome human being! I hope he’s got a few years left in him. He is sooo cool! Also, I battle anxiety and major depressive disorder, and damn Dude, there is a LOT of interesting content other then race results and how to set the sag on your bike. I am totally serious, your shows are so refreshing. There is a lot to take in about life. I’m not good with words dude, that’s your job, but I can not emphasize enough how well rounded your content is, and how much it makes me think, wake up, be real, and be positive. Seriously, i am a better person from listening to your show. Thank you. Mike.

The more we watch, the more Jase makes. I agree with you. But if we’re forced to watch an hour to wait for the good stuff, yt pays Jase a bit more rather than all of us skipping to a ten minute clip of him talking about Jett lol. Smart decision. Add the timestamps and clip it up for shorts for extra money 😜. I wish their were timestamps though lol

Could anyone else feel that Gypsy kept trying to make a point of "save Jett" by saying "glad this is over dude - it's out of both of your systems, your all good with it" and Jason kept answering time after time like "it was nothing, I'm laughing - BUT at race day Jett better watch out"... Gypsy: "glad you got the physical reaction out so nothing will happen at the track" ....Jason: "at race time it's a THING, if I see Jett ahead....and if he's behind me...dude!" Sometimes I wish that they would just let Anderson or whoever answer a question or talk about it instead of saying ( and everybody does it) " my take on it, or my thought on it, or it seems to me" I don't care what you think. I want to hear from Anderson and Jett. Everybody gives their opinion, and I really don't want opinions unless it's Anderson or Jetts. You can't take sides because you won't get an interview with the other rider. That's what is great about the riders own post. They can tell you what happened and how they really feel about it.

Loved the interview. The whole retire while you're at the top thing, I think Rossi is a good example of the attitude Ando is talking about. People were like why's he's still here, how can he deal with finishing 8th race after race when he used to be The Man. And he's like: I'm one of the 10 fastest guys on the planet, I get to ride the coolest bikes on the planet, I'm with this team of top-notch like-minded people, and I'm turning all of this into a machine for making money. And you're telling me I should somehow think all of that's not good enough? It's good enough for the guy who finished 7th and the guy who finished 9th, but because I won those titles I'm not allowed to enjoy 8th? What am I gonna do in retirement that's better than this?

Best podcast you have had yet! Jason is a just a regular dude that's bad ass on a dirt bike. I have became a fan of hisnsince the jet thing. #38 all day though...

Im an Aussie and what Ando is saying about Jett is spot on. I got mad respect for Ando and how he's speaking about Jett. Nothing insulting at all just telling straight facts. I think in the long run Jett will have grown from this situation which will only make him a more complete rider. Until then he needs to keep his head on straight and focus. Low key i hope Ando takes it home this year.

been an ando fan since he was on ktm 250's. always see him in the pits at Anaheim once a year. dude is so cool and nice. rides everyone hard but isnt intentionally a dirty rider, also when he retires ill be so sad he has the sickest style especially in supercross.

I like the guests but always turn off episodes after a few minutes because dude never stops talking! Let the guest talk twice as much as you not the other way around. Seriously it’s gotta be 70/30

With all do respect brother, what other podcasts have you ever seen Ando on? Or Casey stoner? There’s a reason guys come chat… you like the guests, and they like doing the show.

Killer interview. I’ve always enjoyed Jason riding style and respect the way he conducts himself. Reminiscent of my childhood hero Bob Hannah, straight shooter. That ride Anderson put out last night was epic AF!

I’ve never “pulled for” Jason Anderson really, just haven’t had a reason to or an affiliation to him. But this interview has changed my entire perspective of him. Gotta admire his stance on his family. And it’s clear that he’s got his shit together and sees the big picture. He’s a very level-headed dude. Im a fan. Great interview.

Ok I have to say, best interview you have ever done by a mile.... I am a Fan of Jason but was put off by his insta post about Jett. but hearing his thought pattern now I get it, and now am a bigger fan of him than before. And I'm a fan of Jett too. cheers man.

What was Forkners comment?

Its that fact that jett left it to other people to clean up his mess instead of doing it himself. And choosing anderson the only guy that would probably punch someone in the face was crazy

Hey he coulda picked Bam Bam, and he'd be watching his back for as long as Barcia is in the sport 😂 Ando keeps it 100, but at least he's forgiving and willing to let it go

I liked this episode, but for future reference maybe when you talk about a comment that someone made on a post you should say what that persons comment said. Like the Austin forkner comment it would’ve been helpful to hear what his comment was before you guys gave your opinion on it because some people aren’t going to know what Austin said. But great episode

Yes bro. Been saying that!! We could get a series of inside SX and brand the sport SO MUCH better. Get a marketing team from a tech company involved with F1 to help out
