I never knew about the two handed release until Belmo. If it weren't for him, my average wouldn't have boosted by like 80 pins.
@rzezzy110 жыл бұрын
asmpoohbear Actually, the release is one-handed. It's the approach that's two-handed, the second hand acting as the thumb for more support and a better ability to stay behind and push through the ball.
@asmpoohbear433210 жыл бұрын
Evan Rzeznik I know all that, I just say release as in the stance, approach and release as a whole. You're right though, the second hand serves the same purpose as the thumb, it's for support.

I just started bowling in a league for the first time in my life, I'm 29 years old and had maybe bowled 10 times my entire life and I can say right now bowling is a very skilled game, like Bel said "Every lane is different, you have to to completely understand how to predict oil patterns and concentrate heavily on every shot, i started the bowling league 7 weeks ago and finally found consistency to my ball and have been bowling a steady 180 over the past 2 weeks since starting off at 120. It's tough bottom line.

Diversey River Bowl actually has the crappy sounding Twister Synthetic Bowling Pins
@Alurcy6 жыл бұрын
I love the way Jason bowls. I'm actually going to start practicing two hands in 2 days (Friday). What sucks most about me bowling is I'm not consistent with the way I bowl, whenever I head up to the approach I always end up changing my stance in one way or another. I always change the amount of steps I take as well. I mean, sometimes I'm actually not too bad since it's my first year bowling for real instead of as a birthday party. I've only gone for 5 days now, once every Saturday but bowling 105 as an average for never bowling often isn't too bad. Starting to bowl more often so hopefully I can get used to it. What's also weird is I use a lighter ball than I should. I'm supposedly able to handle a 13 pound ball with the right sized holes drilled into it, but I use a 10 pound ball that I find at the alley. I marked it so I know which one it is every time so no biggie. Hoping to get my own bowling ball within this month since we're searching for them online. 😁 At least I'm honest with how much I suck at bowling though and at least I'm starting to practice more often so I can get better. I don't even know how to rotate the ball correctly to make it curve because no matter what I do it doesn't want to turn. 😡 But yeah, practicing it in 2 days. Can't wait!

i totally enjoyed every bit of that. Realistic and funny. This stuff is exactly what goes through my head when i go out bowling. Love the sport. One day maybe ill get to beat Belmo in a game of bowling.

Sometimes it won't take long for the oil to break down on a lane. I bowled 12 games at a center last month and when I started, the oil was still fresh. About 9 games in, the lanes were fried on both sides, and I was the only one bowling on that pair. The pattern on the lanes was a 39' house shot and my average for the 12 games was around 146.

I want to bowl with Jason just to have a good learning experience, along with a fun time.
