@@dynjarren8355My pleasure friend! And I couldn’t agree more with your comment. And these guys are no typical above average cover band. You really need to hear them in person to be amazed by how much they sound like the original band. And the reality is they have greater fidelity to the studio songs than the original band did. Live Zeppelin was of course a transcendent experience and the published live stuff and bootlegs still constitute over half of my Zepplin listening. I love it! But if you want a concert experience that sounds like the studio recordings, this band delivers it!

ZERO red tape - Murat Theater (as well as every other real venue) is monitored and pays public “performance royalties” to Zep’s PRO (performing rights organization) ASCAP. ASCAP pays quarterly performance royalties to the band’s publishing entity Flames of Albion (Physical Graffiti on) formerly Superhype Publishing (debut LP thru Houses of the Holy) for public performances. This includes live as well as radio airplay. As well, there’s the Administrator of their complex overall worldwide royalty collections- Warner Chappell. There’s more types of royalties than just performance, yet to keep it simple and to your question……Real venues are monitored by the PROs- ASCAP, BMI, SESAC & GMR. Most countries have one PRO but of course 🇺🇸 has to do it our own way.) You, me or Jason can start a Zep tribute and perform previously released commercially available songs hence the dozens of Zep tribs playing every night of the year- so no red tape!-)

Not sure who you’re disagreeing with friend. I don’t think anyone would suggest that Bonzo’s drum work was not the very foundation of the band. His drumming was never just driven bombast. His technique and virtuosity was unrivaled. Most drummers, such as yourself, place him somewhere in the top 3 greatest rock drummers of all times; many consider him the greatest.

saw them last night in montclair NJ. Was a good show overall, but some negatives. Mr. Jimmy (Guitar player) was fantastic, really the highlight of the show. Jason was good but he has big shoes to fill, his drums were so loud, cranked to 10 drowning out all the other instruments. The singer was actually very good, was surprised because some of the recordings seemed otherwise. Overall the band did well but the sound engineering was not good and drums drowned out the other instruments, including the guitar. Was I glad I went, yes, would I go again, maybe, just to see Mr. Jimmy.

@@RonPro-u1t I wouldn’t call what JB does milking his father’s legacy. To me and most of the people who go to or who have been to those shows, it’s definitely more a tribute to his father’s legacy. There’s a warmth to those shows, because Jason is a living, breathing, blood connection to a beloved band that doesn’t exist anymore. I get the sense that he truly enjoys giving that music to the fans, and they reciprocate with heartfelt warmth. Hell, Plant didn’t even want to do any of the music he wrote when he went out on his own after Zeppelin ended, but he finally came back around to it. Now he gets bitched at because he does it, but won’t sell out and do a full blown reunion. They say he’s plundering Zeppelins legacy while running from it. He can’t win. Jason could easily surround himself with top gun musicians and be part of the process of writing new material. Don’t doubt it for a second. But maybe he just enjoys what he does. There’s no need to be cynical about it. It isn’t black and white. Wolf doesn’t want to, and Jason does. So what?
