It’s not about who he’s more affectionate with, it’s the fact that Joss and Carly actively seek out comfort and physical touch. Danny doesn’t actively do so, but when Danny does do it, we do see Jason hugging Danny as well. Jason is more than affectionate with his kids. He just handles different people differently.

Why are you acting like it’s somehow strange for Jason to be there for his goddaughter? He’s her Uncle Jason so him being there is entirely valid. Acting like somehow he can’t be there for Danny and for Joss is silly. He can be there for both. Also, Joss treats Jason differently because Jason has never done anything that hurt Joss, Sonny has done actions that have brought conflict and harm to Joss and her family, so of course she’s going to feel differently about Jason, who’s literally never let her down and always protected her.
