Longhorn breed of cow is not one of better breeds for steaks, good brisket/shoulder clod/ground beef/roasts. For the best steaks, the hereford and black angus are known as the best breeds for steak. Also the grade, you want prime or choice, not select as it is the lowest grade and 1 of the 3 grades most grocers sell.
