14 years? The judge must have been frickin high! Please tell me it was a mistake. That it really was life with a minimum of 14 years. That would make sense then it would be the first time he would be allowed to apply for parole. Because he should be rotting in prison for the rest of his life.

14 years? Sentences seem to be all over the place in America. I would have thought a life sentence with parole at the very least. His room mates and her aunt are lucky to have got out alive, may have been different if he owned guns.

If he hadn't been on drugs, it would have prob been a lighter sentence. Military PTSD is usually taken into consideration when a former soldier is on trial for a bizarre and unusual murder. Given that he was on drugs as well, some people might be even a little more sympathetic, especially if the one handing out the sentence was formal military as well, or had family who served.

Dr. J Buzz Von Osh….koshbigosh looks just like a comic book character who was once a young, wholesome and gentle pediatrician, but one of his cutest patients ever, a little blonde girl, who was terminally ill - a patient he swore to save, DIED from the medicine HE created. She was entirely unresponsive, unless asked a question, or given a task for approximately 4 minutes, then she began to seize ..violently. He tried so hard, but couldn’t save her. It traumatized him and changed him forever. His hands can’t create life saving medicine - they’re useless! His once warm and gentle hands turn cold, like his heart (He wears black gloves forever now) His soft yet strong handsome facial features now have hard angles and deep lines. There’s dramatic shadowing even without a light source ..but .. His eyebrows really tell us all we need to know he. Is. Evil. His mission is now to create a mind control pill that he can steal the city with. ..All he can think of is the last 4 minutes little blondie was alive…

The LAST place a person with PTSD needs to go is IN THE MILITARY!! My mother was molested as a child, her PTSD ruined her ability to have a healthy relationship. There's this tendency of society to turn to tough love when dealing with addicts. Pushing men to "nut up" and "be a man" without dealing with their feelings. Jason's big mistake was thinking he could avoid dealing with those feelings. All other mistakes stemmed from this. If he had disclosed who had molested him and let his parents take him to a therapist Regan would still be alive. But getting an adult to go to therapy is hard, let alone a child. The child tends to think of everything as "It's all my fault."

AnimeShinigami13 while you might be right, some people are simply not capable of dealing with the trauma without proper assistance, and nowhere in the video is it stated he ever attempted to seek proper help. Even during his stint in the military, which to me is the most tragic part. Sure he failed, but those around him failed as well. If this guy was as bad as portrayed, those around him should have been helping rather than abandoning...

@@AMYV3 Also do you really think the army wouldn't have known PTSD when they see it? Wouldn't have looked back at his profile and concluded he came to them with it? Not to mention, do you really expect a little kid to sit in front of lawyers and talk about how he was molested, where he was assaulted, when? Kids are psychologically very vulnerable, most are NOT going to open up about being molested, especially not in his day and age. And his status as a victim of sexual assault doesn't change that he committed a deranged murder and had to pay for that. We automatically want murderers who do monsterous things to be monsterous in personality, to have monsterous backgrounds, to lie and cheat the system. But sometimes a duck is just a duck.

It mad him restless, willing and able to flee into anything that strokes his ego... or rather his shattered ego that couldn't handle the trauma he got stuck with. His problem was a mental illness and his unwillingness to deal with the pain. There's a huge push in this society for men to "nut up." A stereotype that they don't feel pain or grief, an expectation that only women are emotional. Jason never had a prideful ego to really stoke, his self esteem was too low for his ego to really be a factor. He never got past the point where he was a small child trying to escape the pain of being sexually assaulted. And in spite of going to rehab, he was never ready truly to face what happened to him so he had no chance of getting clean unless he was willing to face the pain head on in therapy. I know this because my mother was molested as a child and received treatment for PTSD. She's talked about her feelings with me a LOT. Children have a tendency to think that everything bad that happens to them is their fault. They tend to think they deserve whatever an abusive adult lashes out at them. Your mistake is confusing ego and self esteem. A man with a huge ego can have very low self esteem, but ego wasn't Jason's problem. His problem was thinking he deserved to be clean, that he deserved to be healthy, to live long and well with Regan or with his wife. In his eyes everything was his fault and any attempt to help him was a sign he was a bad person, to him they weren't helping him, they were judging him.
@bruggeman672
@bruggeman672 2 жыл бұрын
Not sure ego played into it. Many men have difficulty dealing with being molested, and if his parents knew it took place they could have put him in therapy, but for whatever reason that didn't happen. Nor did the military seem to pick up on his issues, which I find extremely concerning, as it appears they turned a blind eye to his problems,trained him to kill, then released him into the public with zero oversight...

@@AnimeShinigami13 Thanks for sharing your take ! Sorry to hear about your mom's abuse. I was also abused mentally by different people who suffered some cluster b disorder, mostly anti social. I've seen how many of these people have a big ego, not in terms of bragging about themselves but more like , not wanting to go in therapy no matter how much issues they were struggling with. They escape in drugs, making music (but not learning anything, feeling too big to learn scales etc) It's like they wanna run and hide rather than facing the truth about themselves. That's what led me to draw my conclusion out of this story : they way he went for total escapade by binge watching Breaking Bad and wanting to be as bad as the character. I could be wrong of course... i wans't paying enough attention to the beginning of the story i think.

I have always been amazed ànd discussted with the popularity of Breaking Bad. I would not watch the show but it was always talked about, winning Emmys and getting all kinds of accolades. It promotes the meth amphetamine addiction, which is now out of control, with addicts living on the streets. How did Hollywood even come up with this? But of course it's the public that loved it and made it so popular to keep it on air.
