I just came back to this channel and man, this is such a nostalgia trip. I remember i commented on one of your videos and you gave me advice on my swing and the next game I had hit 3-4. Through looking at the comments I see that your journey in baseball has come to a stop, but I just wanted to say thank you for posting your adventure and career on KZbin. It has truly helped me during my childhood and career as a ball player. It was also very entertaining so thank you. If you ever need any help with filming or editing just let me know as I am currently in film school playing ball and would love to help you out with whatever you do with this channel. Thanks again and best wishes.

Thank you for the comment. I appreciate your interest in my journey and best wishes. Good luck to you in your filming and editing career. What is your favorite affordable video camera and what is one thing you try to incorporate into every video you take?

@@JasonKnine if you want a good camera that records in 1080 and 4K I would get the Panasonic Lumix G7. It is only around 400-500$ on the market I believe and I’ve been using it as a budget camera for a while. Great quality and very easy to use. You can also link it to your phone so you can control it from anywhere. So many features that, if utilized well, can be so effective. As for what I try to use in each video, one main thing is to just be creative and not have it be low effort cause people can see right through that. If you’re talking from a more strategical stand point, always know where you’re posting the video after. If it’s going on Instagram, make sure you record vertically. If on KZbin, horizontally, little things like that catch the eye more

Been watching this channel since the Team Easton 12U days. Crazy to see that this dudes growth was documented for all these years. I remember playing summer ball in Missouri and traveling all over the country every year growing up. I watched these videos all the time as motivation and hoping that we would cross paths one day as we’re nearly the same age. I’ve read his comments saying he’s done playing ball but I don’t think he realizes the support and fans he has behind him. I think he can really transition this channel into one of the best baseball related KZbin channels on this platform without a doubt!
@JasonKnine3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your support over all these years. I still keep in touch with some of the guys from Team Easton and they all seem to be doing pretty well. I will be transitioning this channel soon. We’re looking for another high quality camera to get things started. It’s been difficult to prioritize since I’m finishing up school and I want to be thoroughly educated in multiple facets before I decide to help people and give this 100%.

Thank you for the comment. I’ve tried compiling some videos together of my workouts and my sister cycling at her races, but I decided not to upload them because I didn’t want the channel to head in that direction. I’ve been wanting to make an update video and include some hitting since this is a baseball channel and because it would be interesting to see what I got after a couple years of not swinging the bat. I’d like to help people with this channel in every aspect surrounding baseball, such as training, nutrition, mechanics and fundamental work, mental approach, off the field lifestyle, coping with fatigue and failure, and maintaining your own routine in professional baseball. After I get my CSCS in about a year I know I can do that, but right now it is difficult to prioritize due to the amount of school work I’ve given myself. I’m planning on getting my bachelor’s in health science after the fall 2021 semester while minoring in nutrition, getting my CSCS certification immediately after, and then getting a masters degree in occupational therapy after the fall 2023 semester. Post baseball was definitely difficult, and it took awhile for me to figure out what I really wanted to do, but I’m very happy with what direction I’m taking with my career choices and I’m excited to help people with this channel in the near future. Hope you’re doing well bro, many paths to take in life outside of baseball.

Miss the videos. Glad you’re still grinding. Just want to say your videos and career were so much fun to follow when I was growing up. Definitely helped push my ceiling when it came to baseball (even tho I only played 2 seasons of juco ball). Especially when it came to you or your dad answering questions in the comments with tips and advice to become better ball players.Anyway. Hope you and your family are doing well. Thanks for taking us along the ride, excited to see what’s next.

Thanks, bro. Hope you and your family are doing well also. I’m happy that we were able to help you throughout your career. Juco ball deserves more respect than it gets because the level of talent is very high. More videos will be coming soon after this Spring semester. It took me awhile to sort some things out and get an idea of what my next path in life and KZbin will be.

Sam Goodman Hey Goody, always nice to hear from you. I’m not playing anymore and I only train a few local players at the moment. I’m going to school right now and would like to eventually work in a health related field and coach people online with hitting and strength training. I have everything ready to go and would just need to take videos and create a website.
@ryanedits96274 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason, I think you would have a really good customer base if you started posting baseball/strength training videos on your KZbin channel that was connected to a possible online baseball training business. I think you would be good at it. Honestly growing up, you and your dad gave me better baseball advice in some of your video’s comment sections than most of my coaches did. I am in college now also and am working on getting a marketing degree. I hope all is well. -Ryan

SORRY I CAN NOT GO ALONG WITH THIS. THAT IS TO MUCH WEIGHT FOR A BASEBALL PLAYER. U CAN EASELY BLOW OUT A KNEE. A BASEBALL PLAYER REACTS TO THE BALL.THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS. TAKE CARE OF THE KNEES THEY HAVE TO LAST A LIFETIME. WHO EVER TOLD YOU TO DO THIS NEEDS TO BE AT THE MENTAL HOSPITAL. IN A CAR YOU CAN REPLACE THE BATERY. BUT THAT KNEE WILL GIVE OUT ONE DAY IF YOU KEEP THIS UP.
@JasonKnine5 жыл бұрын
It is absolutely not necessary for a baseball player to deadlift 600lbs or squat 500lbs. After developing a good foundation of strength, these athletes would benefit more from ballistic and high velocity training, since strength and the contractile adaptations to their training are specific. In other words, high-velocity training, which requires rapid cycling of the contractile filaments of the muscle (actin and myosin), will produce greater adaptations for high velocity force production tasks like baseball than in lower velocity strength tasks like powerlifting which require less rapid cycling of those filaments. However, the notion that powerlifting and training with heavy weights will blow out your knees or your back is wrong, as is the notion that not using “perfect technique,” however that can be defined, will cause pain and injury. The human body has a remarkable capacity and propensity to maintain homeostasis, repair itself and adapt to changes. In fact, evidence suggests that high-intensity resistance training is beneficial for bone bass density and quality of life in elder populations. If you’re unsure of how many calories you’re eating per day currently, track your caloric intake over the course of a week without changing your current intake and get an idea of what you’re actually taking in and how you respond to that level of calories and make intelligent adjustments from there. Since you’re looking at gaining weight, a caloric surplus of a few hundred calories per day would be good. Also, if you’re not strength training, you should start today. The Bridge by Barbell Medicine is a free downloadable program and ebook that I would highly recommend. I am also coaching online if you are interested. Good luck and may the gains be with you.
