u know u are on another level when u can tell another All Star player, don't be nervous...I like u, so I won't embarrass u, and be DEAD SERIOUS and the opponent is actually thankful!! People laughing and hating on Kobe as if Kidd didn't mention him in this video. I'm both a Michael and Kobe fan, how can you like one but not the other if they play "almost" alike. They say Kobe copied Jordan's moves, but that's actually a compliment because no one else has been able to but Kobe. Jordan at his prime probably harder to guard, but Kobe is second.
@sananto68966 жыл бұрын
One of the most impressive things about Jordan is the respect that he commanded from the opposition. Jordan had the ability to trash talk an opponent, but yet not make it personal. That is a very difficult thing to do. Normally when you trash talk someone, they will hate your guts.

@uberathlete What I find interesting as someone who watched MJ during his prime is how he was able to consistently deliver the performance to the level that was expected of him, and yet so often he would exceed the expectation. Joe Dumars of the 'Bad Boy' Pistons said that MJ was even harder to guard later in his career. Most players get worse in their 30's but Jordan seemed to get better. He was less explosive and relied more on his jump shot, but his fadeaway is only rivaled by KAJ's sky hook.

I like to show admiration to the playmakers, the guys who can make that perfect pass, and make that right shot when needed, and make everyone look good in the process. Dirk beat Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Odom, Westbrook, Durant, Aldridge, Bosh, Wade and LeBron in their primes all in the same playoff run. Dirk did this with scrubs around him... What does that mean about Dirk if he could do all that against all these guys who are supposed to be so great?
@MisterFuturtastic10 жыл бұрын
***** They were scrubs but they had chemistry... then they were overrated because Dirk is underrated and everyone threw money at all those role players. I realize you need quality role players.. as you say everyone needs a good team to win. That is the problem though... Cuban is too concerned with just being competitive season to season it screwed Dirk in the playoffs because he would just trade crap for crap. Also, Dirk had HORRIBLE frontcourt players around him because you can't get decent FC players in trades... this is why when he had a decent center once in his career in Chandler he wins the championship. Also, you say Dirk should have won more... the biggest thing that hurt Dirk is that he was so revolutionary... his own team didn't understand how to build around him. Refs treated him like garbage because he was so different they had never seen a player like him. Even NOW he still gets hosed by the refs. Other superstars in the NBA are the complete opposite... the NBA bends over backwards to gift these guys championships. Only just now are people in the NBA even giving Dirk a glimmer of the respect he should have gotten from the very beginning.

@TheVillain365 Yeah for a competitor like Jordan, any advantage he could get, by studying the weaknesses of other teams was just as important to him as adding to his own game, and eliminating any potential weakness. He was very cerebal about the game. He understood the physchology of winning after the hard lessons he learnt from the Celtics and Bad Boy Detroit Pistons. Individually he was unstoppable, but the maturity was assimilating his game to into the triangle philosophy.

LARRY BIRD! HE DESTROYED JORDAN!
@str8dominican8 жыл бұрын
You mean the same Larry Bird that said in 86 that Michael was the greatest Player he had ever seen. That's before any rings. And even said he was God disguised as MJ when Mike scored 63 on his Celtics.

str8dominican Bird was just being nice! Watch some old games of Bird destroying Jordan!

petebacon lol whatever, Jordan ..... the greatest of all time .
@petebacon8 жыл бұрын
Brian Roberts That your opinion! There really is no greatest ever. It's all opinion . NBA IS A TEAM SPORT! Bird was a better team player. Won a ring his second year. Jordan is just lucky he didn't come in the league the same time as Bird and Magic. I can promise you he wouldn't have six rings!!!!
@tamilashultz91947 жыл бұрын
Yes, the same. And he destroyed Jordan repeatedly. Eventually injuries caught up to Bird, but Jordan didn't win shit until then.

What makes MJ great is that he played better in the playoffs than in the regular season.
