Jason Maki, CJF Forging a Natural Balance Center Fit Front-type Shoe pt. 2

Jason Maki, the Texas A&M University Large Animal Hospital Farrier, showing me the forging techniques to make a Natural Balance type shoe from 3/8" x 3/4" flat bar stock.
In this video, Jason finishes up the fullering while the stock is still at a dull red heat. After completing the fullering, he flattens the branch back out, then he stamps the nail holes while there is still a bit of red heat left in the branch. Once the branch is a black heat, he finishes up the shoe by pritcheling out the nail holes.
