As a writer/director, I understand 100 percent of what he’s saying. He’s talking about putting his own product out there and owning the ip. Studios aren’t handing gigs to everyone, and with the wga strike going, things are gonna get harder. Bet on yourself and stop waiting.

You can get rich either way as long as you keep your costs low. Stop taking outrageous mortgages. Keep away the drug habits, loans, expensive cars, and gold diggers.

Nah, they should aspire to do it LeBron's way, imo. Put yo' boys in positions of power, to win while maxing out your opportunities for all around you. Tyler underpays writers and collaborators and serves his audience subpar, low-end content aka junk food. I respect his hustle I just wish it came with more integrity.

The fact that creative has been thrown out the door & people rely on visual effects, nostalgia, & familiarality instead of reaching new places, or telling newer true stories, or reaching new audiences is why movies aren't as good as classics we keep rebooting.

@@Decorlos it wouldn't have happened had Hollywood not rely on pretty faces, cool visuals, & non-talented actors/actresses to grace the films more than the ones who put in the work & have the talent. 2010 decade was the worst year for film seeing decline in Theateres & increase in TV.

There’s less money in Hollywood yet all these Billion Dollar grossing movies come out every year & the streaming services throw hundreds of millions of dollars at various projects. They can afford to pay their writers more & pay them residuals. Y’all think reboots & sequels are bad now? Let the studios start to rely on AI, that’s all you’ll ever see.

I wonder if any actors have ever gotten rich by just being actors? 🤔 I’ve seen people get rich without being business owners. I have seen business owners who were far from rich or what would be considered successful. I’ve seen business owners who have several businesses but make most of their money as employees. The biggest issue with black wealth, ownership business and otherwise is capital. It is exceedingly hard for us to access business loans and mortgages, and when we do, we pay more for them. So when and if we invest in anything we are often doing so with our own money. Which is the least effective and least successful way to become rich or wealthy. So many things have to go right or you are risking financial ruin by simply starting a business. And for all your hard work, what do get for it? I’ve seen successful truck drivers, owner operators included,but the turn over rate now is well over 100%. Same with club owners and promoters. There are reasons most business fail, especially in certain industries. All the power of positive thinking in the world and all the motivational speeches are not going to remove the very real obstacles that certain people have to success and survival. But the selling of these dreams is what keeps multi-level marketing, lottery, so called financial gurus, motivational speakers and Ponzi schemes in business. The facts are, most people are not going to create “generational wealth”😒 Most Americans will continue to make most of their money as employees and most independent businesses will fail. Vlad interviews will not change those facts. The best thing most people could do to raise their chances of being more wealthy and successful is getting and staying married. Buuut that is NOT what you hear from all these interviews and speeches. Because there is little benefit for the powers that be in Americans or any citizens becoming successful and wealthy. The machine needs you to need it. That’s why KZbin pays content creators, you are the product. That’s why instagram directs traffic to the most active accounts, you are the product. That’s why TV is often free, their products are useless without you believing you need them.
@darkvalue505
@darkvalue505 Жыл бұрын
It sounds great on words, but reality is you will always need business people to handle your money. Eventually, I believe people will become Luddites, and the Internet will be stalled for a while because people want physical products again because jobs and money will come back. Yes, we are in the digital age, but the future is unpredictable. People gotta eat.

Jason, you can get rich by making a Production Company (which you did) and Co-Producing films you star in which you can do by finding scripts or doing production work on films instead of just being talent.

In 2008, Vlad sued Rick Ross for $4 million for allegedly launching a “brutal attack” on him at the Ozone Awards in Houston. He suffered a cut that required seven stitches below one of his eyes, three facial fractures, a corneal abrasion and possible permanent nerve damage. Two years later, a judge awarded Vlad $300,000.

To be honest, he really doesn't have much of a choice but to make his own stuff now as a lot of the big money in Hollywood won't work with him at this point. And "making your own" projects sounds nice, but getting people to watch the project is another. Not to mention not getting ripped off by whoever buys the project. Vlad himself sounds like he got victimized by something called "HOLLYWOOD ACCOUNTING". Funny how at the end he sounds like he's gonna reach out to VLAD for some investment money, lol
