Long before Hollywood got ahold of Jason Momoa and turned him into a savage warlord and our latest superhero, he was just a kid who grew up the son of an artist from a family of builders and hunters from a small town in Iowa. Raised by a strong single mother, he craved everything his mom opened his eyes to, from art to music to rock climbing and skateboarding. All of this left a deep sense of adventure in his blood.
This is the story of a man hell-bent on remaining that kid - no matter how big he gets or where the world takes him. Because family, “My Ohana” as Jason likes to say, is all that matters to him.

I came across a question once, "If you could relive one day, what would it be?" For me, any day I wasn't the best father I could be. I think about and miss my son everyday, and my heart hurts everyday from the guilt of those times I got frustrated over spilled milk or told him I was too busy to play. He was only two years old but already everything I ever wanted to be, brave, strong, kind, compassionate, sweet, funny, smart.

I love that he embraces so much out of life...he's not stagnant like so many of us. He goes out and lives his life to the fullest. The wanderer part of him is something I completely understand. I love the way they are raising thier children. I wish I'd of had more time to be more of that for mine. I also admire they have all gotten to a place where they can embrace each others past partners for the benifet of their children...and for their own peace. Why be bitter..you loved that person at one time..they were your world and out of it came beautiful children...have respect for that love and that beauty. I was spending all my time working (60+ hours a week). In those crucial years of my children’s lives. Then the best thing ever happened - I lost my job... now we are in process of changing our lifestyle. We won’t be working to live. We’ll be living to LIVE and enjoying our children and lives and nature is going to be a huge part of it. This is the first time I haven’t cried watching. I recently found out at age 37 that I'm going to be a father for the first time,I listen to this video in hopes one day I'll be a great father and teach my child the right way. To play Music to dance to paint to read to express themselves. I have never known my father but I hope to be the father my child deserves. Crazy how an advert for dusty old pants teaches so much thank you.
