ranburn who said God was dragging anyone there? He is not a needy God he is holy and will judge everyone. But he has chosen us from the beginning which makes sense because he’s outside of time already knowing who’s saved and who isn’t which there are many people within the church that are not saved because God knows the future.

Oh Jason. Someone wrote on Emily's page about your testimony. I have NO idea if you will ever see this. But, today, 12/8/23 - I needed to hear this. Like really hear this. I am on vacation with my family. I have been tired. I know God. I know Yeshua - Jesus as my Lord and Savior. But 2 things stood out as I heard your testimony. REST and Do you truly TRUST Him. I've known Him intimately for 25 years. I heard HIM. His Holy Spirit. A long long time ago a friend said to me, "Suzanne, God wants you to REST in Him." I have been walking for 20 some years looking to REST in Him. You summed it up so nicely. And when He says to me, "Suzanne, do you trust me?" You answered that so nicely too. REST in Him is trusting in Him. This was beautiful. As David Pawson would teach: Saving is an active verb: We are saved, we are being saved, we will continue to be saved as we walk with Him, seek His face, and as you said "REST IN HIM!"

Thank you so much for this powerful testimony. I just finished a teaching in my home to my family on 1st cor: 13 specifically on trust. How can we trust all things, when our friends and family so openly deceive and betray us? We had a fantastic discussion about this through the revelation of the Holy Spirit. It was shortly afterward that I stumbled apon this video. Where this young man talks about trust in the Lord our Saviour. To fully and completely submit our hearts to HIM. such edification. Amen. God's continued blessings on you all!

Like in the pilgrims progress..Christian meets Legality in the village of Morality, right before finding the wicket gate he needed to enter to begin the journey. Many never even begin the process of being saved and get caught up trying to be a good moral Christians in their own worthless human effort. Believing they have the Spirit, yet not having it. Trying to please God in the flesh. Trust= resting in the finished work of Christs atonement. Resting in the working of the Holy Spirit. Doing as He wills in the Spirit. Not in the flesh.

back in the early 90's there was this Minister of a church in my town, I had heard some things about him, like he was crazy about God and stuff like that. He died in the Medical Center, from natural causes, but I heard about some of the Nurses who had wept openly during his last hours. He and his Wife were just praising and praying all the time. It wasnt until a few years after, I heard the Gospel.

Albin, praying for you. God doesn’t desire anyone should perish. He wants you. All those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom. 10:13 Cast all your cares upon Him. Hey, spending time away from the phone & with no distractions, reading His word asking Him to make Himself known to you means so much to Him. He wants time with you. That’s how that relationship is built. Through spending quality time listening to Him & in His word.

Hey @unggoy praying for you! He loves you. Sin separates us from Him. Just spending time alone devoted to Him & in His word WILL change you. He’s got you. He’s not against you- He’s for you! He’s got this in You. He’s faithful.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. It's as simple as that. Don't let anyone tell you differently. You realize that you are a sinner and Jesus paid the price for you (once and for all) and you trust that the finished work of Christ on the cross AND His resurrection was and is sufficient payment for God to forgive you and reconcile you to Him. That's why it's faith and not works. You trust and He did the rest. It's done the moment you trust and is permanent because He (Christ) keeps you. Don't let these Calvinists tell you differently - they will lock you into a cycle of works and fear because no one ever is able to live up to this perfect standard they profess to uphold. As George Mueller stated once : “Should this, however, be read by any who are not believers in the Lord Jesus, but who are going on in the carelessness or self-righteousness of their unrenewed hearts, then I would affectionately and solemnly beseech such, first of all to be reconciled to God by faith in the Lord Jesus. You are sinners. You deserve punishment. If you do not see this, ask God to show it unto you. Let this now be your first and especial prayer. Ask God also to enlighten you not merely concerning your state by nature, but especially to reveal the Lord Jesus to your heart. God sent Him, that He might bear the punishment, due to us guilty sinners. God accepts the obedience and sufferings of the Lord Jesus, in the room of those who depend upon Him for the salvation of their souls; and the moment a sinner believes in the Lord Jesus, he obtains the forgiveness of all his sins. When thus he is reconciled to God, by faith in the Lord Jesus, and has obtained the forgiveness of his sins, he has boldness to enter into the presence of God, to make known his requests unto Him; and the more he is enabled to realize that his sins are forgiven, and that God, for Christ’s sake, is well pleased with those who believe on Him, the more ready he will be to come with all his wants, both temporal and spiritual, to his Heavenly Father, that He may supply them. But as long as the consciousness of unpardoned guilt remains, so long shall we be kept at a distance from God, especially as it regards prayer. Therefore, dear reader, if you are an unforgiven sinner, let your first and especial prayer be, that God would be pleased to reveal to your heart the Lord Jesus, His beloved Son.” - George Muller

Isnt “rest” an excuse to not repent and surrender totally? Like if you just rest you will automatically thereafter repent and surrender all? Im pretty sure repent and surrender is precursor to salvation right??? Otherwise the rich young ruler couldve just “trusted” without giving up riches, and then automatically would surrender riches after, not before as Christ required.
